This is a pretty strange problem. I just purchased Zebra 2.2, and loaded it into Sonar Home Studio 6.2, and opened the dialog to enter in my User ID and registration code. Every time I tried to type in the space between my first and last name (which is my user ID) the cursor wouldn't advance, and Sonar's play icon lit up. Turns out Sonar intercepted my key strokes, and interpreted space as the play command. Copying & pasting didn't work either. I ended up downloading some other free vst host, which I was able to use to load up Zebra and enter my registration info.
Now that I've had a chance to explore some of Zebra's presets, I'm prepared to ditch my other dozen or so soft synths.
I couldn't register Zebra using Sonar as host

I ran into the same thing with Sonar and had to authorize it with a different host as well.
I definitely agree about finding a lot of the other things in the VSTi folder unnecessary after getting Zebra. Apart from the immense potential for sonic exploration, it's also one of the most pleasing and smooth-sounding synths I've ever heard as far as how nicely multiple Z2 sounds flow into a mix. There are a handful of other VSTi's I won't get rid of because they have a very idiosyncratic sound that I've grown fond of over the years, like the Korg Wavestation plugin, but I could easily record a CD with nothing but Zebra, Stylus RMX, and a sampled piano.
