Depending on your definition of decent, I'd recommend the ns_kit 7 free. I love the ride and since it is wavs, you can just take the rides out and ditch the rest.

Though it seems you have to make your own programs in your sampler with drumwerks after purchasing.

But they sound awsome imho.

between your kits, a demo brush kit from sonniccouture, nskit7free and a bunch of bits and pieces from the interweb i've got just about what i need.

i'll cobble it all together in battery properly tonight but you guys seem to have provided me with enough raw material to make up a decent jazzy ride kit.

many thanks to all, you've been very helpful and it would have taken me weeks to find the bits and pieces without you.

free for all ride hits? with balls? yeah I got em. Heck, the kits are even named after the rides.

I don't recall those having edge hits/ride crashes, tho?

edge hits and bells are there, with much more playable key mapping than the standard general midi as well (can be disputed of course).

Just that the amount of samples isn't that great compared to modern libraries. As such they are a bit outdated.

I swear by BFD these days, but back in 2000 I had no other choice than to make good sounding kits meself. All real drum kit libraries pretty much sucked back then, including big name commercial ones.

Things have changed, thankfully.
