Question about Compositions

Hi
I'm curious about compositions within MULAB.
Basically, what does it all mean?
Can I split my work into to compositions and have MULAB play one directly after the other?
The reason for this questions is that I'm working with scores that have mutliple time signatures.
To assist in keeping track of where I'm at within a score, I would like to be able to set the time sig within MULAB. Of course, MULAB can only handle one time sig at a time, so the answer (the way that I see it) is to split the work up into multiple compositions, each composition having its own time sig.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how MULAB handles compositions at all.
Cheers...

At the moment, I think the only way you can switch is using the menu. Being able to switch using Program Change would be neat -- but the time bar might be a challenge (start at zero or keep going? Maybe an option for the composition?)...

Time bar is not that much of an issue (at the moment)
If I know how many measures each segment/composition has, it will be quite easy to keep track of where I'm at (section 2, measure 13.. section 1 has 225 measures so I'm at measure 238 overall).
Might be a nice feature request??
Cheers...

Do i understand it right:
Essentially you're requesting to be able to switch from one composition to the other in realtime, beat-synced, just like in the good old m....
Right?

Sounds Good.muzycian wrote:Do i understand it right:

Maybe some sort of control to tell MULAB to jump to composition x during playback.
It would be a nice way of breaking a work into logical pieces.
Given, as well, that there can only be one repeated section, it will also give the functionality of having multiple repeats within one work

To be precise: the tempo map is per composition, not per sequence.jpumphandle wrote:Sort of a related question ...
How do I edit or display the Tempo map in a sequence?
To edit a composition'stempo map, right-click in the timebar -> "Edit Tempo Changes"

I see these ways now:Fuzzbeard wrote:Maybe some sort of control to tell MULAB to jump to composition x during playback.
1) With the mouse: selecting a composition in a browser
2) Eventually also using Program Changes as suggested earlier (to be researched)
Yep, i agree. It would be a nice way of breaking a work into logical pieces.

These enhanced composition management features are on the whishlist with quite high priority. (also Loop Composer)
