Hey, i don't know if it has been already said, but i'd say :
- Drumular (cheap, comes with nice sounds, enough sampleslots, some meanie drumsynths modules+++). Unfortunately, it seems close to abandonware, and i have a big issue for remembering the presets and samples... If it works on your achine it can be a good choice.
- Livetweaker (simpler, but nice random features + gloabl pitch & decay + you can have somesamples layered). If you like Ableton's impulse, you shoudl dig Livetweaker.
- Poise, simple, efficient, cheap too.
- EnergyXT1.4 sampler/slicer !
- Sc1/2.
