I want to know too.brotherone wrote:Are you referring to the "plus 2 FREE premium Concert Grand Piano sounds for 100MB of samples" mentioned on www.sampletank.com ?Squids wrote:They're great and there's even some FREE ones being given away on www.sampletank.com (if not now, soon).
Is there a way to get those sounds for registered users?
Best regards

and Simon Collins' new record and planning the drum sampling session with Billy Cobham in 2 weeks. But, that doesn't mean OmniSoundz 2 ain't comin' too! I am a madman. What can I tell ya? So the question is when. I don't know. I think March/April time this product can finally be out. Maybe sooner possibly. I wonder if we should do a group buy on it.

Yes! Could you do a multi-format GB, or would it need to be one format?

I think it would be fun if it was multiformat. This way you can grab more people. Actually, we might do this sooner than later.Reverend Rhythm wrote:Yes! Could you do a multi-format GB, or would it need to be one format?

No, it's not just in my head. I made a deal for some of the sounds that were missing and now it can be completed faster... and it will be even better. I had a vision for Omni 2 really having a sweet CHOICE selection of all of the GM sounds. In Omni 1 you had some sounds that were stellar and some that were "eh". Like the brass for instance wasn't that good because we hadn't sampled brass as well as we'd sampled things like Strings, Pianos, Drums etc. So, now in Omni 2 I think every instrument is very good to excellent. It'll be similar to Colossus but just not quite as large so you CAN use it on your laptop and it will load much faster too. It will at least be 4-5 times the size of OmniSoundz 1. By the way, I don't know why we discontinued Omni 1 though. It was very good. It's the universal format version of OmniSynth. I think we'll bring it back for download. That was a good one. That and Sonic Station. We'll see what we can do about that. Maybe we'll do a Sonic Station 2 one of these days. It was a product that could turn any sampler into a workstation via the sounds... of a workstation! (SR provided patch programming and/or samples for a lot of hardware keyboard manufacturers like Yamaha, Roland, Alesis etc. so even some of THOSE sounds are in our archive but larger and prettier - uncompressed and unsqueezed down in size - especially Alesis since SR did the sounds for all the Vintage, Sanctuary, Latin Q Cards plus the NanoBass, DMpro and all sorts of things... also some of the sounds on the Vintage Expansion Boards for the JV.)Reverend Rhythm wrote:Is that a plan hatching in your head?

Sonik Synth 2 GB? Or the Sonic Station GB we did years ago? Well, maybe we'll do both anyway. Updatable from SS2 or Sonic Station 1. Why not. A special crossgrade rewarding customer loyalty sounds like a good idea.mahtazz wrote:updateable from SS GB?
Of course we'll do the same for OmniSynth and OmniSoundz 1 users for Omni 2. That's how we roll.

I think this sounds like a GB that could attract a lot of new people. Something to make everyone happy.

I think so too. It has a lot of potential also with newbies as well as pros who want the convenient "Noah's Ark" sound set. One or two of each animal represented.Reverend Rhythm wrote:I think this sounds like a GB that could attract a lot of new people. Something to make everyone happy.
