Hey folks...

I just got a receptor with komplete 5. I have always been a pro tools user, i just purchased logic express 8 to sequence in. So im totally new to logic and receptor all together.

I am having trouble figuring out how to run multiple channels of uniwire. I can create one software instrument channel and enable uniwire and it works great, but when i add another channel the first one stops sending audio or if it does its all messed up. I have tried everything i know how to get this right and im sure that with a piece of equipment like receptor i should be able to have more than ONE midi instrument channel at once.

Can someone PLEASE instruct a logic 8 newbie on how to get this up and going?

Hey Matt,

When you put the second instance of UniWire in your 2nd instrument track, make sure you have the second channel highlighted in the Uniwire Plug. That tells Logic to listen to the audio coming from the second Receptor channel. So for each Receptor channel you want in Logic, Load a Uniwire instrument and Highlight the Receptor channel in the Uniwire
Plug you want the audio to come from .... also be sure you are targeting the proper Receptor/MIDI channel from the Uniwire plug as well

Ok I have two channels setup this way and here is what is happening. Channel one is selected in the uniwire plug from instrument 1 and and receieving midi from channel one. Two is selected in uniwire on instrument two and is receiving from channel 2. Audio from uniwire on instrument one is prestine and good, but when i play instrument two the audio is all distorted and nasty...sounds almost like sample rate error or something. Any Ideas here?

I should also add that the audio dropouts indicator on the uniwire for instrument two (the one that sounds horrible) is CONSTANTLY on.

Ok ...There should be a Button with an "I" on the mixer instrument track in Logic click this button for each Uniwire track you have loaded and see if it clears it up ...

Also, do you have a SPDIF cable connected to Receptor and your audio interface? ... you need this so that Logic and Receptor will stay audio synced ....

Ok well I feel a little stupid at this point, but I did fix the problem. I had the buffer set to 256 since i have my logic buffer at 128. I increased the buffer to 512 and its working just fine. DOH!!!
