Has anyone got this (very good) bass program running on their Receptors ? (Its a bass instrument for Kontakt).
Ive got a standard receptor with 2 gig and this is the only program that crashes Kontakt (2) with an error saying that there is no memory available halfway through loading all the samples.
I've tried changing the sample size parameters but no luck.
if anyone has got this program working - Id appreciate it if you let me know.

thanks

Hi Mark,

I have both Black Bass and Red Bass running fine. This is on a Receptor Pro Jr, 2gig Ram. I have never changed the default DFD settings.

I'm guessing if you 'upped' the preload settings, this would cause the load errors.

Hope this helps. Regards,

hello kevin

thanks for your response. i did try to install it leaving the settings at default.
i only altered the settings after it did not work the 1st time.
i copied the kontakt library files to where my other -working- ones are, so it is a bit puzzling.
the program works fine on my pc.
its quite puzzling - i have 15gig hard drive space free and 2 gig. and im not running anything else at the same time.

Hi again Mark,

I don't know if this is a factor - I installed Kontakt (2.2.1) singly (from the Muse installation for Kontakt). Did you install from Komplete 4 or Komplete 5 (possibly with a later version of Kontakt?). It's also a possibility that NI may have changed the DFD default settings when they changed versions.

If you do a search on this forum, I think others have published default DFD settings for 2.2.1. You might wish to compare these to what you have configured.

Just spearfishing for possibilities. Sorry I don't have an exact answer.

no worries Kevin - thanks for your help so far. i appreciate it.

i installed kontakt in the same way you did. i guess im going to have to go back and look at my settings again. the problem is of course i don't want to break the kontakt stuff that is working !

i mean the fact that you got it working is helpful enough. i'll look into this further.
