You're referring to iTunes, right? Or some mystery app?Emerald Tablet wrote:first of all : its slow on my pc

i'm still using winamp.
The problem with iTunes is it reminds me of the whole Mac "we know better" aspect of the OS. It makes assumptions about how people will want to use the software that aren't necessarily true. For example, it doesn't want to allow you to have different songs on a Shuffle than it has listed for the Shuffle, so it erases anything on the Shuffle that isn't listed in the software, and there's no discernible option to stop this behavior. Yes, I understand why it does this, but that's an assumption about how users want to control what is on their Shuffle. So, I use software from another company that doesn't do what I don't want it to do.Pawel wrote:waveriderarts wrote:whats bloated about it?abi wrote:

Was this regardless of the volume without music playing or with music playing?InfiNeat wrote:It's interesting to see that nobody is talking about sound quality...
About a month ago I helped my girlfriend's brother choose a good pair of earphones for his brand new stainless steel iTouch. It's very pretty and the interface is really cool. But the sound sucks! The same goes for the few iPods I had a chance to sample before.
as a power itunes user, here is he problemPawel wrote:waveriderarts wrote:whats bloated about it?abi wrote:

Isn't it.WilliamK wrote:I don't like MACs that much...
For LISTENING, I still use Winamp, as iTunes is too big for just listening to songs.
People NEED to post negative stuff because they seem to think standing for something means standing against something else. God needs the Devil. Superman needs Lex Luthor. Militant christian groups need the gays. And PC users need Apple. Lots of people seem to need a scapegoat to make themselves feel better. At least that's how it appears, imo.WilliamK wrote:Its incredible on how people NEED to post something negative about a product they don't like, on a thread that was created for the exact inverse of that.
If you don't like iTunes, don't use it. I don't like a lot of stuff that people seem to love, and yet, I don't say anything about.
I don't like MACs that much, I'm a Windows user, but I really love how the iTunes store works. And that's what the original thread is all about.

Wk
Ahh, good point, yes, we all need the evil and good. Its like the Matrix movie, when the "robot" says that when they created a Matrix that was perfect, with no bad things, no evil, it failed badly.debra1rlo wrote:People NEED to post negative stuff because they seem to think standing for something means standing against something else. Not that simple. First, it is installed and loaded by most people who own some model of iPod, Shuffle or whatever because that's what these devices come with and that's how they buy and load music (or video). Second, it's not all that easy for inexperienced users to find, install and configure non-iTunes software -- assuming they even know it exists. Third, you can't shop and buy on iTunes without the software, and many do not know about alternative places to shop and buy for music, many of which are far superior to the iTunes store.WilliamK wrote:If you don't like iTunes, don't use it.
Well. We are a bipolar species. Eh?People NEED to post negative stuff because they seem to think standing for something means standing against something else. God needs the Devil.
