2 questions about Receptor

Hello,

I just got my new Muse Receptor with Komplete Inside... and i have 2 questions..

I didnt have enaugh time to finish reading the manuals so please be gentle

1) How do i get Receptor to play 2 different Instruments? do i need to load 2 Receptor VST's ?

2) Sometimes, i get strange sounds from Receptor (pops and clicks).. is that normal?

That's about it.. for now at least.

1) As far as I know, you have to load up two channels for two different instruments.

2) I also sometimes get the pops & clicks but I doubt that it's supposed to be



But anyway Receptor rocks... I recently started experimenting with linking Moog Theremin up to Receptor and the conclusion is an amazing expressive sound!!!

Yes, you need to instantiate two (or multiple) VSTis on two (or multiple) Receptor Channels. You can do multiple instrument on one channel with a VSTi that is multi-timbral like Kontakt. Check some of the Receptor factory synth and demo multis and see how they set up their layers etc.

The pops and clicks should be very infrequent and depend on what's running - usually a result of CPU overload and/or disk streaming problems I think - generally only a problem with large sample libraries.
