blithefully tossing in my comments that I really liked this piece, blortblort...there were tensions in this piece, time-wise as well as between the tonal elements that kept me thoroughly engaged...I also like the tension between the "melody" line of the synth and the more rhythmic elements. Plus maybe I could hire you to tutor me in being minimalist. Cool! Definitely cool!

yikes! high praise indeed, mayan
Thanks very much, but I don't know if I'm qualified to teach anyone to do much of anything
...it's realllly hard for me to put the crayons away sometimes. Thing is: you guys don't get to hear the results of all my ...experiments
(...though I am getting ready to post something well outside my comfort zone
)
Again- thanks for listening, mayan.

Um, when I offered to make an album with you I hadn't heard the sheer beautiful brilliance of this track yet.
I take it back. I have no business ruining this streak you're on!

Thanks, runny...but don't set the expectation level too high. ya might not like me next one(s) quite as much, eh?
...and I'm still up for doing something in March if the planets align right and all that other good sh*t
...keep me posted.

Thanks!

Holy sh*t! What a great track bb. Some very groovy moves in the beat... and the minimal atmo just rides under it so nicely.
in the extreme!

Bastard.
We shouldn't get too excited, though, blort can pull off just about anything.

damn it! you guys flatter me simply too much! ya don't have to stop, but jeez! kinda sets a fella up for a fall: I mean, now- I'm kinda scared ta post anything new for a while. God forbid it don't top these lofty expectations
...
@justin- happy birthday, my friend! hope YOU are over the never ending cold. I have simply resigned meself to drinking hot beverages and hoping for the best (cough..cough
)
@polyslax- always good to know ya like my noises, Sir!
@runagate-
seriously? I think much of my stuff has a sameness to it...for better or for worse. I was reading another kvr thread earlier this week: something about the first song you ever recorded? Well, without going into too much detail- I found mine. A few years ago, I took the time to commit as much as I could from my old cassettes (4-track and stereo...) to wav- so I did run across "my first". While tools have changed and people, experiences, etc have shaped me in the 27 years since that first recording, I don't think my first recording sounds too much different from what I do today. ...what the hell... I think I lost the point i was trying to make.
I think it may have been my arguement that I can pull off "my" music OK...but I'm certainly not gonna "take anyone's job", if you can dig it. I know that there are MANY kvrians who post here regularly who are VASTLY more gifted than I (see the 3 names in this post, for starters
)
anyHOOOO....
Thank ya'll for such unsolicited support. I really do appreciate it.

Hmm. It's interesting my impression of people's innate talents (as there are many) vs. the goodness of what they pull off.
Weirdly, my talents lie almost completely outside of what I post here. Everything I'm actually good at doesn't really translate to PCs, or at least not to the degree that I'm skilled.
Polyslax has largely tapped directly into his human potential and what you hear is a rather amazing synthesis of all his talents, I'm pretty sure.
Shit, I'm too distacted to even complete my thought. Too many IRL caucaoids talking my ear off.
