Problems with the AU GUI on Leopard-Logic8

Since I use the u-he AU on leopard-logic8 I have permantly the same problem with the GUI: when I open multiple instances and move one of them on the screen, there's always a moment where it stops moving and "hangs" for 30-40 seconds while a coloured rolling ball appears, after that the things become normal again. At the beginning I taught it was a problem with Leopard or Logic, but yesterday on the Logic8 forum I learned that with the Native Instruments plugins you can solve this: you just have to go to: user/library/preferences/ and remove the "com.native instruments.plist" file(s), I've tried it with Battery and it effectively works very well: the problem disappears completely. But... there are no com.u-he.plist files to do the same with Zebra or MFM2
and as Zebra is my favourite instruments plugin, this is really an annoying problem, so, is there another way to resolve this with the u-he plugins or must I wait for a future hotfix?

I have never heard of this. But I'm working on some gui improvements as we speak. How does that one work for you:

(this is highly betaish... please just check it out and then revert to the official build)
Does this fix the problem? Does it become worse?
Thanks,
Urs

There is good and less good news:
1. When you run the Zebra instances with the large look setting the problem disappears: you can drag any instance of Zebra at any speed you want all over the screen without any problem, and it is the same for all the larger settings. But when you set the look of only one instance to normal, the problem reappears, and it is still so if you set all the instances to the same normal look, idem for the smaller looks.
2. There was a problem of "contamination" with the Z2.2 version, I mean by that that not only Zebra was "hanging" when you wanted to move it, but also all the other instances of plugins of any kind: the FX as well as the instruments, Logic-native or third party audio units. As long as you use the large look setting, this problem disappears, but for the instrument plugins only, Logic-native or third party. Once you open an FX plugin instance, the problem appears again and the contamination also: everything starts hanging again.
I've done my best to give you the most complete feedback I could, but if you have questions, don't hesitate.
Hope the problem won't be too hard

Hi Urs,
I'm back again about something that maybe could help you, it's about the Filterscape plugins with wich ones I just made a test. In fact I noticed that when I run several instances of FilterscapeVA I don't have the problems I have with Zebra: they move without any problem, one problem that well subsists is that when I run an FX plugin everything starts hanging again. BUT this not the case with Filterscape and FilterscapeQ6: these three can run together without any problem, so I taught that maybe with comparing the GUI of your several plugins there could be something to find out there, hope this will help you,
Cheers.

Hi,
I'm just back from the Logic8 forum and finally it seems that the problem we speak about here is due to Logic: some users even have it with Logic-native plugins only.
Maybe you could make some money with showing to Apple how you did with the Filterscape plugins.
