Hi,

I have been experiencing some issues with MFM2 in Cubase 4.12 and OS 10.5.2. It seems that when I select and tweak some MFM2 values with the mouse that sometimes all the sudden the "beachball" appears and Cubase quits unexpectedly. This is totally random and is not any specific value I am tweaking in MFM2. :( I am running the latest MacPro 2x2.8GHz Quad Core Xeon with 6GB of RAM, and the latest updates of everything (OS, Cubase, MFM2, etc.). Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks,
Ken

I do have some issues with MFM and Cubase 4.1.2, too, even though I'm on a PC. MFM doesn't crash Cubase for me, but a few presets immediately mute the output of the instrument. I can hear the sound playing again only by completely removing MFM from the inserts. Weird.

Thanks Ken!

I've seen the stuff in the Crash.log before. With some luck it's the same cause that also crashed Zebra betas (the latest betas fix this, the official V2.2 does not suffer from it). In that case it's mostly a recompile.

I'm currently fighting deadlines (have to design & construct the booth for MusikMesse this weekend, must buy material and tools), but I think I can squeeze a VST X recompile in which would also add Midi Program Changes then. I'll post it here. The more I think about it the more I'm sure it'll fix any problems.

I will most likely be working on Vista tomorrow, so I can also upload a new VST Win recompile, maybe today already.

Later,

;) Urs

Please let me know if this fixes the problem.

Another thing that occurred recently was, some strange issue went away after moving MFM2.vst from the root location into the user folder. That was bizarre, but it worked...

Thanks Urs. I'll try it out and see if it fixes the problem.
