Try it with other hosts on your system. I suspect it something to do with your system and not energyXT. Here for example it doesn't work with any host - audiomulch, usine & mu.lab free. So it may be some runtime that some of us don't have installed.Optomadic wrote:

I will have to install something else as I only use eXT. Maybe the developer should just name all the system files it needs. Then I could just find them.PTV wrote:Try it with other hosts on your system. I suspect it something to do with your system and not energyXT. Now the fun starts... I just added a button to generate random waves.
Also, knobs and cells in the modulation matrix can be edited much preciser now; just SHIFT-click on a knob or cell in the matrix; or left-click and right-click at the same time.
The crash bug that might happen in energyXT, Renoise and others is not fixed yet, though.
So here it is, Alpha 3:

imagine i have the situation in the pic bellow :

pressing the button to the right it would result into something like :

its like having a synced lfo where you can change the offset start
does it make any sense now ?
sorry for the english.
edit : another suggestion , the vol master out could show dBs ?

Ah, I see. There are some issues with it which make it difficult to implement, but I just added it to our wishlist.
Ah, that's quite easy to do, I will do it with one of the next Alphas.hcv242 wrote:edit : another suggestion , the vol master out could show dBs ?

What already can be done, though, is to automate the bypass button via your host, or to change the used wave via automation, so you can change to a flat wave which does no modulation, or disable/enable the LFOs, change modulation intensities, and, if your host allows more than 128 parameters, you can also automate all wave points.-PIKU- wrote:please add one shot triggering via midi note. it could be useful for snare sounds and modular sound design

Hey all, here is another Alpha of FilterShaper, Alpha 4:
http://www.cableguys.de/downloads/Cable ... lpha_4.zip
Changes:
- Cutoff frequencies are shown in Hz.
- Master volume is shown in dB.
- Various improvements for the sound of the 24dB-LP-Filter. However it does not sound exactly the same for every sampling frequency. So we will continue working on that.
Note that you need to click the Start-button first before hearing any sound.

Isn't that essentially the same as drawing the wave from a different "phase" point?

Hi
It works ok in Ext2 on my system.
It is a very nice effect, very well thought, and i like the clean and elegant GUI.
Thank you for making it.

Thanks for incorporating people's suggestions so rapidly, this is really turning into a wonderful little freebie!

Thanks! We have some bigger changes in the pipeline (most of all moving the wave to the left and to the right), but they need some fine-tuning. We hope to upload them on the weekend.Mighty Pea wrote:Thanks for incorporating people's suggestions so rapidly, this is really turning into a wonderful little freebie!
FilterShaper won't be free, though. What we plan is, that you can use one instance per song for free, but if you want to use more instances, then you have to buy it. We are not sure about the price yet. We also plan, that if you have not bought it, that you also need to click on the Welcome screen once every time you open it to enable the audio processing. Hope that's fair, because you can still use this one instance for free.
