BATTERY 3 Working!

first off......I don't own "Complete"
I have the boxed versions from Samash (Reaktor-5, Battery-3, Absynth-3) installed.

this involved using the methods posted by myself (bekenone) and "Hybernation".

first delete your previous installs (if you ever did).
then
what you need to do is login to your NI account and download the update named:
"BATTERY 3.0.4 Win Update".
this is all you need you dont need the Install disk #1 but you will need disk #2 when your done.
copy the update file to "My Documents" on your Receptor....then
SSH into your box and do the NI Unsupported install methods.
(Reaktor 5, Massive)

make sure you install it to:

C:\Program Files\VST Plugins\Unsupported Plugins\Battery 3

and the library to:

C:\Program Files\VST Plugins\Unsupported Plugins\Battery 3\Battery 3 Library

it will ask to install "NI Service Center" (yes)....let it update your old one!.
it might say "cannot find FLASH"...thats fine...keep the default location intact.
then
bring up NI Service Center to activate.

p.s. dont forget to install disk #2 to
C:\Program Files\VST Plugins\Unsupported Plugins\Battery 3\Battery 3 Library
have fun!!!

:)

HI

That's some hoop jumping!

I haven't bothered reinstalling Komplete (on my new-ish PC) along with the myriad of up-dates for the simple reason that this kind of madness should never have plagued the user in the first place.

Glad to hear you have sorted 'the' issue out though!

Flipper.

This is major. Truly great. Thank you for efforts getting Battery 3 going. I would REALLY love to get Battery 3 running on Receptor.

I run Battery 3 on a Mac. The NI Service Center offers me the 3.0.4 update for the Mac, but not Win. I wonder how to get around this. If you have thoughts, please let me know. I'm tempted to load Battery 3 on a Windows machine, authorize it, etc., just to download the 3.0.4. update to get it onto Receptor.

Thanks again

Mark

the method I posted installs the latest version (3.0.4) for authorized Registered users.
you have to login to the website NOT thru Service Center app.
go to "support/updates/click on your app/show win updates only".
and dont forget to say yes to install "NI Service Center" during the update.

Thanks again, Bekenone, for your guidance. I'm almost there. I've obtained the windows 3.0.4 update, run the installer on the Receptor, activated Battery 3 on Receptor. (wow, it worked)...but how do I do the last step, to get Receptor to see that Battery 3 is there? The Receptor doesn't seem to "see" Battery 3 - the install button on the setup screen of remote control isn't seeing anything to do in the unsupported plugins folder (even though there's a new folder called Battery 3 there). What do I need to do to get Receptor to do the final step of this install?

thanks for any help

Mark

I got Battery 3 working on Receptor - it seems to run better on Receptor than it does on my old G4 Mac Powerbook.

Thank you thank you thank you Bekenone & Hybernation.
