How do I import Absynth 3 Glo. banks in Absynth 4 ??

HI all

I have a upgraded receptor pro.jr. with komplete 5.

I have some Glo.banks from Absynth 3 I like to import to Absynth 4,

But when I touch the "Import Glo.banks" in the file menu in Absynth 4 nothing happens ???

I have been in kontakt with Rick from muse by an "help ticket" He wrote to me:

( On Receptors hard drive create a new folder in Samples, copy your Absynth 3 banks there. Load Absynth 4, open to the edit view and select file > Import Glo Bank. Navigate to where you copied your Absynth 3 banks and select Open. Now you can save these as Receptor patches if you like.)

I try all this, but can't get it to work.

Do you now how to do it, I would like to now.

Hi, Rick.

I'm having the same problem with a lot of stuff I backed up before upgrading to Komplete 5. For those who haven't done this, the manual tells you to drop the program banks you backed up into the "drop installers here" folder and then hit the install button, whereupon Receptor magically figures out what program created the banks and puts them in the appropriate place.

Problem is, the installer doesn't recognize a bank created on an earlier version. I can't use this method to import the programs I created on Reaktor 4 or Kontakt 2. With Kontakt, at least I can load the samples in Kontakt 3, but I really don't want to redo the looping and mapping and all the other tedious work involved.

If anybody knows of a good work around, I'd love to hear it.

PS: On the upside, I've gotta say that the upgrade from Rev C to Pro with Komplete 5 was a great deal and well worth the investment. The Pro seems to run much smoother and Kontak 3, in particular, seems much more stable than was Kontakt 2 on my old Receptor.

Sounds like a job for NI support. If you're following the loading procedure properly, which it seems you are, and it isn't working, than something's wrong. Contact support and tell them nothing happens when you click on the load glo button.

To me it looks like a complexe problem, probably with the Wine load/save .dll's.

Maybe it's just my Receptor, but "Save" and "Save As" don't work for me from within the Absynth 4, Massive and FM8 interface. (Though I can save as Receptor patches using Receptor's methodology.)

Hopefully a new update, either from Muse or NI, will fix the problem!
