I installed v1.1 the other day and after trying to switch views with the F1/F2/F3 command, I've lost the rack desk. I have not been able to pull it back up, except as a minimized window in the windows toolbar. I am able to view one rack at a time through the part property panel.
Also, I have not been able to view any non mutool vsts. I can see the musynth and a few of the other included vsts, but all other vsts I cannot "see". By that I mean I can put them into a rack and use them, but when I click on it to make adjustments - the plugin does not show in another window, again all I get is a minimzed window in the windows toolbar.
Otherwise, seems to work quite nicely.
Thanks,
Ryan

And doesn't the rack desk come back when you press F2?rgv wrote:I installed v1.1 the other day and after trying to switch views with the F1/F2/F3 command, I've lost the rack desk. If not, something strange has happened with the windows, and you could try this:
* quit mu.lab
* goto your mulab/settings folder and open mulab.txt
* delete all the lines that say ...View-...WindowRectangle e.g. ComposerView-MainWindowRectangle
* save the file and restart mu.lab
Do you see the rack desk again?
If yes, then if you press F1 (rack desk disappears), then F2 again (rack desk re-appears), then do you see the rack desk window?
Mmm, sounds like some odd windowing issueAlso, I have not been able to view any non mutool vsts. I can see the musynth and a few of the other included vsts, but all other vsts I cannot "see". What Windows version do you use?
Any 'special' software installed that could be the cause of this?

I'm using Windows ME, no other programs are running while I have mu.lab open.
When I delete the "view" lines in mulab.txt, things get back to normal. In this case normal means that both the rack desk and the composer show. When I press F1, everything disappears. F2, rack desk only comes back. F3, switches to the modular plug area. But I can't get the composer back in a non-maximized window.
As for VSTs, after some more playing around, VSTs that use the host's default gui (such as the mda plugs) work fine. VSTs that have their own gui are not visible. The same VSTs are visible in other programs that such as VSThost and Krystal Audio Engine.
Thanks for your help, I'm not trying to be a nuisance.

I guess it's a Windows Me issue then.
Which leads to the fact that Windows Me will be removed as supported platform.
