And you won't, unfortunately. Session was discontinued a several years ago and pretty much everything in the library is now R5 with a few r4's (session readable) still available.
Did you try the search with "Reaktor 4" - I got 54 entries, by searching Reaktor 4 (w/o those " ") it was more than 2000, which might not work for the most part in R4 or Session, but even the seacrh for "Reaktor 3" revealed 125 entries. So might be worth a try.
thanx thoshu
i will try that

Stairsteps wrote:Reaktor 5 needs no programing needs nothing but draging stuff out of the tool chest and droping it in. you can endlessly tinker with the exsisting synths that they have out of the box. or you can take them apart and retool them into monsters. makeing synths from scratch is just a small part of what reaktor is about. and alot of ppl are put off by the fact that they think its just for synth creation!!!!

For example take one of Reaktors bare bones synths like Equinoxe, which is a simple string synth that comes with like 9 presets. Ok for instance i can quite easly open up the main internal wiring of this synth with just a click. once inside the guts everything is in a neat GUI, its all just clearly labled boxes and wires. Ok to make a simple change with Equinoxe just right click and drag from your toolchest ummm lets try a expander. ok I unwire one of the modules and simply put in the expander and rewire everything back , takes 2 seconds to do.

Ok now I have my own custom built synth as I have taken apart not originally planed for a preexisting synth and made it to my own specs. with little or no trouble at all. And you can just keep dragging and dropping various pieces like mabey a filter or oscilator what ever you do its all done with lightning speed and you can undo undo undo till your eyes fall out.

Thats just a simple experiment that shows you that you need no programing skills no plan no nothing, just a willingness to tinker and drag and drop.

If you dont want to drag and drop or tinker at all then there something else I want to tell you about and thats the RANDOMISER, every synth that comes with Reaktor 5 has a built in randomiser function thats one of the most powerful in the industry.

I have seen alot of synths with random or slot machine instant picks of sounds, some of the better ones are Cameleon and Tera3, But they cant touch the Reaktor5 random feature.

For example you can morph random and merge random which are VERY powerful esp if your looking to get new interesting sounds, albiet not all sounds it makes are useful, but you can never exhaust the random feature of Reaktor5.

So dont be put off by the thought of time comsuming synth programing, to reprogram a existing synth in Reaktor 5 takes 2 seconds and to get new sounds out of synths takes even less time its almost funny.

without a doubt get Reaktor5 if not for anything its fun tinkering and the sound quality is right there with all my top tier Vstis. That include Nexus, Absynth,FM8,Tera3..ect...

Oh fyi: that synth that started with 9 presets now has like 128 presets all of which were made by the random feature and all the new presets sound just as good as any programer whos pulling his hair out to program.

very easy to find a random sound and save it to the soundbank.
You've just shattered the last half-rational reason I had for not really wanting to buy it.

I want it :bang: I want it :bang: I want it :bang:

But there's a last, very rational one: I can't afford it... so far

yes, thanks for that correction, thoshu. I guess the library wasn't updated to r5 like they did when it went from r3 to r4. Cool. Sorry, s-n-s.
