Hello!

Is there any way of completely silencing some of the steps within the arpeggiator?

I've currently got it running at 1/16th tempo and i've got a pattern that i really like but i cant seem to find a way of silencing the steps within the pattern that I dont want to hear if that makes sense?!

I've put the gate on 0 on the parts which i'd like to take out but i can still hear them. I've also tried assigning the volume on the oscillators to the arp mod so it pulls the volume right down on the bits i dont want but no luck!

Am i missing something really simple or can it not be done?

:help:

I think from Zebra Version 2.2 on you can mute a step by setting the number of voices to 0 - it might as well be available in the latest beta only, I'm not sure.

This is not (yet!) in FilterscapeVA though.

Excellent!

I just downloaded version 2.2 and its solved it - I think the version i was using was 0.95 or something!!!

Many thanks Urs

Now if we could only have a way for certain osc's to bypass the Arp. Then you could have filter sweeps etc underneath the arping osc's............... :hihi:

You can still sweep stuff with an MSEG set to single trigger 8)

Yes but won't the Osc and filter combo set to sweep still be playing the Arp pattern? You could use a filter at the effect level and sweep thru cutoff but still all the osc's will be playing the arp. You could set up an arp pattern in a MSEG and route to only one osc's pitch I suppose but multi-breakpoint env's make my brain hurt. :hihi: I only used sweep as an example. I'd still love to set an osc or two to bypass the arp if it's possible in the future. If we were allowed only one feature request I think that would be mine. :D

It would have to be an ENVELOPE switch, methinks.

Perhaps you're right. I made the same request for Rhino 2 and was told it's not possible. It might mean running two engines, one set to arp mode and one set to poly mode. Or perhaps a dedcated Arp module to put in line with the osc's or filters? :D
