Hi folks,

Since we've been making some fundamental changes, the next version will be 2.0, not 1.1. Here's a screenshot of one of those fundamental changes:

The above is the new GUI editor of SynthMaster. With that editor, users will be able to create skins of their owns! :) The editor makes use of advanced .NET framework features such as the property grid control, it is basicly a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) type of interface editor! :)

Exciting! That's a whole lotta interface to skin, but exciting! :D

Very cool! :)

And here's what's cooler:

Each skin will have its own parameter defaults, meaning: You can have a Moog skin with 3 osc + 1 24 db Moog filter, or a basic skin with only a preset selector and main parameters, etc...

Each skin is under a different folder, so basicly you can copy paste folders, and play around with skins/interfaces easily.

nice! :)

so will there be many changes "under the hood" apart from the skin editor?

Post

Yes, hopefuly a separate wave editor as well. Ideally we'd like to incorporate that into the UI, but most probably it will be a separate tool.

now if the skin could be saved with presets that would be kewl

2.0 looks interesting though :)

Heh. Virus skin = Virus presets! :O
ZOMG :hihi:

"Skin name" will be a preset parameter as well, so Preset A could be opened up with the Advanced Skin, where as Preset B could be opened up with the Analog Skin, etc...

Feature request...
Sample importing as oscillator source would be great

Kewl!!!

have you thought of changing the name? (i know we have been through this before :hihi: )

but i honestly believe a new name will improve sales as so many get confused with synthmaker & don't even think its a vsti or try it or check the post or any thing,

the sound of this synth is great!! it deserves more love in the instruments forum than i see it getting :)

Salaam,
