Modulate Gate with Noise?

Hello

I've been trying to do this with Zebra 2.2 and I haven't found a way. Basically what I want is to trigger the filter envelope multiple times, extremely fast in a random manner... in a past life (using the Creamware Modular III) I accomplished this by using noise as a gate trigger... Is there a way in Zebra to use noise as a gate trigger or at modulate the gate with noise... I tried to use the Modulation mixers for this (sum) but I couldn't get the desired effect..

Zebra gurus, any ideas? :-)

Thnx in advance for your help!

If I understand this correctly, you want rapid sawtooth modulation of cutuff, at a random rate. Maybe you don't need that "filter envelope". Try using a sawtooth LFO (or looped MSEG for more "snap") modulating cutoff, then modulate its rate from an LFO set to Random. Adjust the rates and levels to taste.

That sound like it should work - will try as soon as I get home!
Thnx for your help, Howard! :-)

Oh, and use the XMF, the regular filters aren't as good at really fast mod...

OTOH, envelopes can be looped (I keep forgetting this(. In that case, modulate Decay from a random LFO.
