I've just finished a crazy soundtrack that uses Zebra exclusively. It moves through a few genres and at first was going to use all my Hardware synths ... but I'm now very glad i didn't. Along with all the obvious synth sounds, Zebra was also used for the electronic drums and Sound Design, including the power-up and crash effects. It starts with ELO meets Queen and ends with Slayer.
I can't believe how well I was able to dial up the sounds I was after. In the original sketches, I used my Minimoog for the leads and basses. These were then redone with Zebra (to keep it in the midi editable realm) and to my surprise I was able to replicate the Minimoog sounds and in most cases they sound better!! Not only did it sound great but I have over 20 instances of Zebra on this project and not once did I have a crash or encounter any instability.
I don't really have a point for this post except to say thanks to URS and to post some work being done with Zebra.
