After talking to KB and Wayfinder again, here's the more or less complete changelog for 1.5
-available as single voice vsti
-a vaguely moog-ish filtertype has been implemented
-a dc offset bug in the distortion unit has been fixed
-per voice hardreset, the presets and songs really sound the same each time you play them
-global parameters can be modulated now
-new modulation-source: note
-adjust the colors/appearance to your liking
-multitimbral version only: two auxbusses have been added

thanks brok, thats a big GUI, even had to also shrink the task bar at the bottom of the screen to reach it too.!

great update and superb sound
just one question,
I might be a bit too dumb,
but how can I change the preset names?
I made a reset to inital,
and saved a preset.
but I couldn't figure out a way to change the name of the patch?
when I load the patch it doesn't show the name I saved it with.

you need to scroll all the way down - it's the last parameter at the bottom...

this synth is bad to the bone. what a great gift. i had tried the old version but like others couldn't change patches (didn't rtfm) so just shrugged it off. but this is very cool. easy as hell to program and sounds great.
what a great year it has been so far for the community.

is there a way to make this thing play legato and retrigger held note when the other key is released?

I just downloaded V2 1.5 last night, and as bad-ass as it looks, I'm regrettably among those who just can't seem to change patches in the multi-timbral version. I RTFM'd, so I know I'm supposed to be using patch change events rather than just selecting a preset in the GUI. But when my host (SONAR 5; old & busted, I know) hits the patch change events, all it does is update the GUI sliders (just like selecting a patch to edit in the VST GUI) -- but none of the channel patch numbers change, and the synth still sounds like a Rhodes.
The patch change events work correctly when I switch to the single-timbral version of the VST. Is there some other gotcha I need to be aware of when using the multi-timbral version?

WOW - great news!
Like others I pessimistically thought this would never happen. Now this great synth is much more useable. Many thanks to the Dev!

by not oversampling _anything_ ... raise the cutoff to max slowly, with max resonance on the moogfilter, make sure that at least one osc is at full level ...grymmjack wrote:bump -- what a work of art this synth is. insanely frugal on CPU. i cant even get it to show a blip on the CPU radar within ext. how the hell did they manage this?
aaaaaaaaaallllllllliasing as hell ...
i'm not complaining, just pointing out ...

don't "i think" ... you're completely right, it's just not possible ...jens wrote:unfortunately not, I think...
that thing still misses a few things, imo ... such as:
- adjusting the startphase of the oscs individually, when in sync-lock (retrigger) mode (good for contemprary synth basses)
- there's no monophonic lfo when the lfo is in freerun, that's _very_ annoying ...
- gui size should be adjustable, it's just too big ...
