Trying to answer all questions from my memory, it's been almost a year since my last intensive V2 usage (fr-041:debris soundtrack). Let's have a look...

Gucky,

in the multitimbral version, channel 16 works as carrier so you have to play a patch there. The stuff entered in the speech tab is the modulator. You can select those lines in the speech tab using midi cc#4 with values from 0-63. Values above 64 control the spoken speed (127 fast, 64 slow). cc#5 controls some kind of articulation.

Danger,

did you also switch the midi channel for those you changed the presets? Just wondering, i often forget it myself.

Grymmjack,

thanks a lot for the appearance. I never really looked into it but your colors look so much better than they grey i'm used to ;) How did KB manage to use as less cpu? No idea. Clever coding i suppose. Legato & retriggering - not sure, i'd say no but have to check again.

rsmus7,

patchnames have to be edited in the instrument - if i reckon correctly by toggling to edit mode and doubleclicking the selected name. Then again it's been a year since i last used this function and i might be horribly wrong ;) Will investigate!
aka rktic. demoscener (Farbrausch, Holon, MFX, Still), sound designer, ux-dude, sth @AudioRealism, human synthesizer—not necessarily in that order.

I'm afraid I may not understand the question. I'm pretty sure I have all my channel settings in order, though. My MIDI track is routed to channel 1 of the V2 VSTi, and my patch change events also specify channel 1 (in addition to the new patch value, of course). However, regardless of which channel I specify in the patch change event, none of the per-channel patch # values in the V2 GUI ever change from 0; only the GUI sliders update. Is that what you meant?

The readme seems to indicate that kb is V2's author / somewhat-reluctant maintainer.

I want to change the number of voices. I read to scroll down, but...the GUI is too big so I cannot reach all parameters!

Post

What host are you using, thorau?

Post

Tried on different PC with Energy, Cubase and Live.

With eXT (both1&2) you can dock it, so there's a scrollbar which you can use (in combination with FarbrauschV2's own scrollbar) to access the parameters at the bottom - not ideal, but at least it works... :-)

I have the same problem with the GUI being too big in fl studio.Anyone know a way around it? :(

Yeah. No one uses 800x600 anymore. :P Increase your desktop resolution.

Post

that's nonsense, Malice - I use a 21inch monitor which runs at a resolution of 1152*864pixels and I could neither access the bottom parameters if my hosts wouldn't offer a scrollbar.

Only from a vertical resolution of 960pixels upwards it's possible to access all parameters by just using the synth's own scrollbar.

Fortunately, I have a 19" monitor running at 1280x1024, which in my opinion is the recommended resolution for anything really. (if the letters are too small to read, increase the font size then! Appearance tab, as well as the DPI setting.)

But yeah, the GUI increase now doesn't fit my laptop. Perhaps certain people requested for the GUI to be larger eh? :hihi: Luckily I still kept the old version.

what i don't understand is, why did they make the gui bigger, while everything withing got bigger, too? it would've made sense to make the window a bit bigger, but not the controls and all, so that you actually we're not so much in need to scroll at all ...

Grabbed one of my unfinished MIDI WIP compositions and threw it in farbrausch...kinda. Below is the files used in the project. (bank is only an edit of factory, and there seems to be an issue on cutting out with the v2m recording)

Pitch bend didn't work for me. :\

Would be great if there was a choice of two different GUI sizes, like there is with Cobalt :)
