Yes, i am a preset-user. Zebra and the addons have nearly all preset you need. All? No, a little preset is left. A dirty organ, like a hammond with a tube-leslie. I mean "like" and not exactly.
I will try it by myself, but maybe somebody has a preset to share ? In my little spare time i try to make music and not to make presets. The problem is not doing presets but the time.
ok, any presets out there :) ?

(at the german "keyboards" mag dvd (09/2006) i saw a video about xaver fischer. he has biuld a organ-preset with a virus ti and a h&k tube rotosphere. i was very impressed and thats the sound i am looking for.)

thx for reading this post

A quick tip, the OSCs have an FX section. Open a preset you like but was was more "organ-ish". In the FX section choose "Registerizer" as the FX type and turn the knob up. It might get you most of the way there for very little work. :)

ok, bmr... will try that and will report how i liked it :) (have to restart my system with another operating system :))
thx a lot

ok, tried it by myself and not bad for the beginning, but i have only 4 OSC and soi loaded every OSC with a simple sinus. tried other waveforms like fullorgan... but the sinus was the best in my ears. tuned it 8', 4' 2' und 8 2/3' -> very nice.
BUT is there a way to have some more SINUS ? the i missed in Zebra a good distorsion, is there a good one?
for leslie i took spinnerLE with izts distorsion, but i want to try to do all with Z2, maybe somebody knows more?
the "Registerizer" did not a lot, will read the manual what this thing is doing.

ok, how about a "dirty organ contest", only with Z2? Problem is, i have no webspace :( and mybe i am the only that is interested in that :)

Ok, if you're looking for more Sine wave, you can use the FM oscillators (FMO1-4) set to self-oscillation and set the FM knob to 0.

Registerizer works better if the waveform is more complex. Try it on a saw wave or spectral wave.

The best distortion unit at this time in Z2 is the XMF filter.

Finally, if you are looking for help you might want to post an audio clip of the sound you're looking for. Some of the sound designers might feel interested in the challenge and help out.

I usually don't share my patches, but as you seem to be a good guy, I've uploaded one in the Zebra Bank & Patches area of KVR, its name is "Dirty B3" and it's XY optimized, I' ve already tweaked it to obtain the sound you seem to want, but you can of course search your own way to use it. Just remember that the vibrating speed highly depends of the tempo you will use, you can tweak that with the rate button of the LFO1 on the right. If it's not dirty enough for you, you can try to ad a shape module, or otherwise, but this needs a bit experience, create a dirty wave in the spectromoph section.

I hope you'll enjoy.

You made me think a lot yesterday evening and this morning, Max, as it is a very special thing to create a sound that is at the same time "clean" like an organ should have to be, and maintain a dirty or distorded effect in in the harmonics. However, I tried several variations of the first patch I uploaded yesterday, some are very close to the original, but spiced up with one or two comb filters in several ways, some have also FX variations, and finally, a part of them are more weird, but all of them maintain the Hammond and Leslie emulation. Like the first patch, I uploaded them in the Bank & Patches area of KVR

Note that the goal, here, was more to be inspirating than to deliver a perfect achieved work, and don't forget that you can quickly obtain many changes in the XY section.

Good luck, your feedback is welcome. :)

ok, guys, i had a nice afternoon with Zebra2 and my organ ist better then yesterday but far from the sound i am looking for.
Al, your organs sound very good and the variations are really interesting. i had a deeper look into them and learned some things about zebra and how to "move" a sound in a special direction. sorry to say that your first patch is not the sound of organ i am looking for. but thx for your help and your idea with the comb-filter. i will try that at my organ.
bmrzycki, have now 8 sinus with the fm osc- good idea. the distorsion XMF is really the best in zebra but could be much better :).

i think here i leave, thx a lot for all your help and a nice organ weekend. last thing that i will try is the whole leslie thing, but this next weekend.

thx and bye
