Anybody have any info on whether there are any issues installung the garritan Stradivaari Violin on Receptor? The front end is a Kontakt player. I've got Kontak 2 and a bunch of Kompakt player instruments running. Will I have any installation issues? Could I just load the samples and run it from Kontakt?
Thanks for all responses.

Hi K,
For the Kontakt, shouldn't be a problem.
I have the Stradaveri 1.0 running nicely in Kontakt (2.1) on Receptor. Very Expressive - especially if you have a keyboard with an expression pedal.
I have not tried the 2.0 library yet - I was hoping to install the 'Kontakt Player' (once the NI Service Center (authorizer) is available - should be in Muse OS 1.6). Same thing for Gofriller Cello.
Regards,
Kevin L

OK, it appears that the samples in the Stradivari Violin are protected by some sort of copy protection which is so good that it even stops licensed users from using them.
I've put the Stradivari 'nki patches on the Receptor hard drive, but when I try to open them with Kontakt, I get a message saying "there was an error trying to acquire a license for this patch."
So, I've got a licensed copy of this thing, serial number and everything, but I can't install the Kontakt Player it uses as a front end on Receptor. Anybody know how I can use these on Receptor? Thanks.

I'd suggest contacting Gary Garritan on his user forum. He is extremely responsive and usually will go way out of his way to be accommodating. The entire crew seem like good folks, like here but busier. (Gary has a LOT of products and a large user base, so it gets chaotic at times, but they are great folks doing a great job, IMHO (not affiliated, I just like JABB - a lot!)
But if he tells you it's a Kontakt issue and out of his hands, then good luck...
OTOH, I realized I have to thank you for having the guts to try it - I have been waiting for someone to report success, and I am glad I did wait. It sounds like a licensing access issue that may go away in the fabled V2.0 update. In the meanwhile, try Gary, if there is a solution, he will share it.

Thanks for the tip, Dasher. Do you mean the Garritan forum at Northernsounds? If so, I've just done exactly that.

Sorry, Phil. Muse has confirmed that it can't be done at present. Maybe when direct install gets here . . .
