This story has a eerily simlar feel to another saga that has played out over the course of several years. A plugin where Synth Edit was used "just to wrap the Gui" and a long period of waiting for the native version all the while a Mac version is in the works. Sudden silence from the developer............ttoz wrote:OMG, Lennard has disappeared. PLEASE don't go sonicbytes disappearing act on us.

..do y'all want me to give him a call? That would be a big intrusion into someone's private life, but thenagain, he does read the forum, he should know that people are dying for some info...

The disappearing act is getting old. Why not have a stickie that says something like:
Hey guys i be like really busy now coding the new version but i'll chime in once a week to let you know how things go.
Week 1: Hit a little snag. Things might take longer.
Week 2: Solved problem A. Things are going good. Dunno how much longer it'll be.
Week 3: I'm actually broke and had to take a dayjob. It'll set me back a few weeks but i'll still finish the project. Dunno how long it'll take.
Etc. etc.
That'll instill some confidence in the whole project. Disappearing is just bad buisness. I even worry about people sometimes. Has something really bad happened to them ? How hard can it be to take 5 minutes once a week ? It is your buisness.

This is slightly worrying indeed. The website hasn't been updated since 2 nov and Q1 2008 has passed silently. What's going on?
I think it's better to keep everyone updated, even if that means admitting that the project has been delayed for another six months, than to just keep silent. Not saying it has been delayed, just that continious updates makes people feel that progress is being made.

Well, let's not jump to any conclusions here. I can imagine that there is alot of pressure on Lennard and we are not helping by writing speculations in here or complaining. But I can agree that a little post would lighten things up (yes I'm not better than anybody else, offcourse I want to know what's going on
). But we are not Lennard and we do not know the background of him. Since Sylenth has gotten superb reviews I can only imagine that he want to get things right. Because i guess Sylenth has alot to live up to. There is no point in releasing an unstable version right?
Keep on working Lennard, it I'll be great.
