44.1 for me. Still the most convenient format and not taxing the CPU as much as really high samplerates.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

44.1 usually, 48 if the sound is destined for use on a DVD.

Discussions on sample rates are like all the other "best" threads -- the only people who know the differences are those who spend their time worrying about them. :hihi:

44.1

Actually have to disagree with that. Higher sample rates can improve sound quality quite audibly when you are dealing with soft synths and effects.

It is much more important than say, 32 vs 64 bits, or the choice of host.

33.2 because it gives a nice shiny analogue warmth

Who can present me a situation where there's an audible difference between 48khz/24bit and 96khz/bit (preferably using freeware plugins)? Just for curiosity.

Just pitch it up n down a lot, the 96 will be better ;)

I use 44.1 or 48 the bulk of the time - I can operate more stuff that way :) But for sample pitching, noise reduction etc, I go to 96 (and sometimes even higher :hihi: ) but not lately, mainly sticking to the 44 or 48. :)
