Lost Left Audio Out

I am totally annoyed & frustrated now.
I've put thousands of dollars into my Receptor.
I treat it like gold.
What the F^$# is going on here!?
I have no Left Audio output ~ I have regular shows.
Thinking 'just for now', I could try to use the Headphone out, from the front panel ~ No.
Left is there, but barely; are front & back outs related?
I've tested everything to make sure it wasn't cables, or common plug-ins I use in all of my Multis. I need to take immediate action on this. Rehearsals in a few days, big show Friday
Please.

any possibility of hooking up to something with ADAT input? If you could borrow (or buy and return) some sort of ADAT to analog converter, that could save your weekend.
Last ditch before sending it to MUSE or any other tech repair, I'd open it up and do some minor exploring of the plugs on the motherboard, making sure they're all seated snug. Not sure how comfortable you are with that, but it may be a simple thing like that, particularly if your unit is carried around to rehearsals and gigs etc.
good luck man .. i feel for ya.

Thanks a lot.
I am always reluctant to open my baby up ~ but it has been necessary, a few times, over the last few years; I still hate having to do it.
That being said, I also spend over a few hundred dollars, each time I have to ship back to Muse.
I was actually hoping to hear from someone who has experienced this, and could tell me specifically what to do.
I'll look into the ADAT converter idea, but I really don't understand the headphone jack also being messed-up.
If I have to go inside, I will.

Wouldn't it be even easier to get some sort of an adapter to take a signal from the S/PDIF Out to either a single (MONO) guitar plug (1/4"), or to Stereo (2) 1/4" plugs?

Yes, especially if you (like me) have an old DAT recorder in the closet, you could use that to convert the SPDIF to analog (and stay stereo).JayVee wrote:Wouldn't it be even easier to get some sort of an adapter to take a signal from the S/PDIF Out to either a single (MONO) guitar plug (1/4"), or to Stereo (2) 1/4" plugs?
Do you know for sure that the digital outs (L/R mains which go to SPDIF) are not affected by the malfunction?

No, not yet. I'm going to check that out now.Hybernation wrote:Do you know for sure that the digital outs (L/R mains which go to SPDIF) are not affected by the malfunction?
I've got a MOTU 828mkII ~ it's light & small and could be my quick fix. Still, it's a helluva hassle but I'd feel much better about this week's rehearsals & show, knowing everything will be there...
I'll let you know.
