MU.LAB 1.1b for OSX has been released which bypasses an issue caused by a gcc compilation bug which could result in a non-responsive application.
MU.LAB 1.1b for OSX can be downloaded from:
http://www.mutools.com/downloads.html
Cheers!

Hi Jo,
Sorry to disappoint, but I get a "Reading Data Session Failed" error message with existing projects. Includes my New.Musession file.
I just copied the Mulab.app file over the old installation.
Is there a simple fix for me?
Is the old version still available? (Like a fool, did not backup....)

That is very strange!
MU.LAB 1.1b only features a fix for a nasty locking problem on OSX, nothing else changed.
I just double checked loading the 3 included projects (Bach,Demo,KraftGroove) into 1.1b and they all load fine.
Are you sure the message comes from MU.LAB and not from some plugin?
Please eventually forward a screenshot.
Anyone else having such problem?

Just thinking: could it be that you copied the new 1.1b patch into an older mulab folder..?
As a quick fix, you could always just do a fresh new install.

Yes, that is exactly what happened. So I used a fresh install as suggested. Both of these installations "work" e.g. the provided kraftgroove.musession runs fine.muzycian wrote:Just thinking: could it be that you copied the new 1.1b patch into an older mulab folder..?

I just can't open any of the older projects that worked with the earlier version.
The error message now says: "Reading Session Data Failed. Retry in S.O.S. Mode?" saying "Yes" doesn't work.
The Mulab Key is in the new MuLab folder. I'll keep trying....

Hey toxicoh,
Thanks for emailing me the MuSession file, well received.
The reason it doesn't load in MU.LAB 1.1b is because this session was saved with that experimental mu.lab test version which was distributed end of january.
This test version was not a real supported version, and i also messaged here on kvr that sessions made with this test version were not compatible.
Hope this is not a 'big project', also hope you don't have too many of these.
