Hi Jo :D
I have had some time to sit down with Mulab and it is great and i really love it so far.
I have also started to get into Musynth which is a powerfull and excellent sounding synth and it takes a little time to get used to it (The schematics and workflow/Connections).

I just wonder what are the AIPS button for?
Is it some sort of PWM switch?

Also i noticed a few things that was a little annoying which i hope you can look into ;)

1. I can only do Undo 8 times when i use the sequencer and i think unlimited Undo's and Redo's are important :D

2. I see that the S key is supposed to enable/Disable Auto scroll but it doesn't do anything in the sequencer view.

So that makes it hard to move selected notes up or down 1octave coz you have to zoom in and out all the time.

Same if i draw a note longer than the visible area to the right i have to zoom in and out before i draw that note.

3. I miss the ability to add my drum patterns straight into a sequence from DK+ via drag & Drop.

This is the only host i have used that doesn't work with it so i have to manually recreate the sequence in the pianoroll (Which is a Pain when you have so many great prebuilt patterns in DK+)

Except for those 3. problems i would say that you have almost made the daw of my dreams :hail:

It is so simple when you need it but it is also very powerfull at the same time if you need some modular tricks.
Mux is like Reason's Combinator on Steroids :D

I also have 1 question regarding the next version :D

Will it have support for more than 1.cpu/core so i can use my system at full power (Dual core).

I also noticed 1 more thing 8)
If you create a sequence from 2bars and up the sequence end stops at the 4th note and not at the end of Bar 2 like it should.

So i have to create a sequence with my mouse and then go into the sequencer window and manually set up the Sequence End and loop which i think should happen automatically when you create it.

Yes.

Maybe extended lateron.

The auto scroll means: when the play cursor goes beyond the end (right) of the editor, the editor auto scrolls to the 'next page' so to say.

The S key only toggles that switch.

Good news: Drag & Drop is supported in the next version!!

At this point: Windows only though, but more research will be done on the Mac too!

Looking forward to drag and drop and i am on windows so this is great :tu:

And thank you for the Link to the synth manual coz i only reads the manual if i am very stuck :hihi:

Btw. is it me doing something wrong when i create a sequence or is it supposed to be like this?

The very next version not yet.

The next version is all about the integrated sampler and quite some other workflow enhancements and tunings.

Don't want to talk too much yet about the next version as it's still cooking... 8)

Yep, agreed; It's already like that in the next version ;)

As said: The next MU.LAB is still cooking, and there are still quite some things to be done.

I think it's better to come out with a 'complete' version than with something which can be released quicker but has an 'incomplete' feeling.

Maybe a first beta could be there in april, then the release a month later.

This is indicative, cannot give a detailed/accurate ETA yet...

Looking forward to it myself too :phones:

Thats great news (Looking forward to it) :party:
The future of Mulab is looking really good 8)

Drag and Drop will be excellent for not only DK+, but also Edison and plugins like Stepbeater to make patterns for plugs like Drumular.

Question about updates.Do you just extract into the previous folder so that the new version overwrites the previous---or? thanks. Love MuLab a lot.

The recommended procedure for installing a new version is:

1) Download the new package
2) Extract to new folder
3) Before running the new MU.LAB, eventually copy these files from the old to the new Mulab/Settings folder:

* AudioSetup.txt
* MidiSetup.txt
* MULAB.Txt
* PreferredFilesAndFolders.txt
* VstPlugins.xml

These files contain your MU.LAB settings.

Hope this helps.

The latest version on Windows = 1.1
The latest version on OSX = 1.1b

The osx 1.1b version just fixes an osx specific issue.
