Lame... :hihi:

Nice to have mp3 support.

But for me the most important thing to have in XT2 is LIVE MODE!

Cheers!

Damn, MLR got there first...

Jorgen is quite infamous for fixing things & not putting them on the fixed list,

:hihi:

for example the bug that left energyXT2.exe running in the process list after you closed it (in some cases) has been fixed on my PC & i have not seen it reported here in a long time, so i guess its fixed for others aswell,

but its not listed anywhere as fixed :)

This is looking like a significant update! :tu:

mp3 import and export is very nice.
it's really time consuming to make a wav render, open up the wave editor and then do the mp3 render then delete the wav file. That's just bad workflow.
It's kind of like creating all your arpegiators in midi: sure you can do it, but that plugin is just a whole lot easier.

But how often do you have to render something to mp3? I mean, if you use the arpeggiator you're probably going to be writing a pattern, editing it, replacing it, altering it and all that sort of stuff dozens of times per tune. Encoding mp3s happens once per tune, and only when absolutely everything is finished. So if you're having to do it more than once every couple of days, you're more productive than I am. I don't really understand why this is such a bother.

Btw, it'd probably be quicker and easier to use a dedicated mp3 encoder that you can just point at the file and say 'encode to mp3, bitrate X, delete original when finished' rather than opening it in a wav editor...
It's a rave, Lewis!

Right click for adding VSTs AND MP3 import in the same build :o

Have you changed your PC recently? After reinstalling windows and changing computer, this problem stopped for me without an XT2 version change.

This is exactly right. .mp3 import I can sort of understand, but .mp3 export? I guess if .mp3 import is in there though it's not hard to switch it around and export it too.

Sadly, .mp3 interaction is one of many many things I do not need added to a host missing much of its functionality from the previous version.

Sorry for the "subtle" reminder there.

*shrug*

I paid for eXT way back in the day, and I paid on the understanding that what I was paying for was what it was then, not what I thought it might turn into. And yeah, I'm glad to see some of the stuff that's on the coming next list and will :harp: like everyone else when the beta lands. But it does seem like Jorgen is deciding what to do next by rolling a dice at the moment. I guess I'll just have to wait for him to get a good roll...

Well that's true... I have recently forgotten this fact a lot.

I guess that's what happens when there isn't an upgrade price?...

I swear right now that if XT2 gets to where I wanted it to though, I'll buy it again. That's a vow. :P

Personally I like mp3 export options regardless of how easy it is to do it elsewhere.

I'm always wanting to export directly to mp3 because I never get to the end of any of my music projects. That doesn't seem to follow - but in fact it makes perfect sense. Because I never finish I'm only ever producing interim snapshots of where I'm up to. As the snapshots are not meant to be of the highest possible quality, they end up being in mp3 format.

So in fact, I would probably use mp3 export more than wave export. :hihi:
