mobo upgrade other than S754?

Hi,

I was just wondering if some DIY mobo upgrader has managed to upgrade the mainboard to something else then MSI K8mm-V. And thereby managed to use a faster CPU than socket 754 athlon 3700+ or turion ml44? (which are bloody hard to find).

I found some mAtx-boards with via chipset on a later athlon socket wersion, but the lan chipset is realtek (which doesn't work I assume).

Just out of curiousity . Since the pro upgrades aren't available any more.
