BUT...nothing for MIDI editing or export etc..... can that be the next 'Coming Next' list? :D

Out of interest... midi export I can see your point with, but what specific MIDI editing features are you missing? To me, that's one of the areas of XT2 that feels pretty smooth.
It's a rave, Lewis!

I agree that MIDI is quite good as it :D is but just a few tools would be nice. 2 that come immediately to mind are:

1. % quantize (iterative in Cubase), groove quantize and length quantise
2. Some randomize & humanize functions for velocities and note starts - a bit like used to be there in the XT1 composer.

....And also an irritating 'bug' fix where moused data all does in on CH1 rather than the track channel. :x

....And for the MIDI export when it arrives to be able convert cc envelopes into real data - that would be very cool!

....And..... a tempo envelope track wouldbe nice too.....!!

It's a great 'coming next' in terms of new features but I hope that there's also bug fixes that aren't explicitly mentioned, as has happened before.

+1 for MIDI (many of us don't do audio)

That cool drag to set new MIDI clip length that 1.4 did is a big loss.

this is going to be one mighty update! :-D

Post

it seems jorgen started to code...

edit:
i think the behringer bussiness will give a bit of powa for us, even if now the new update clearly for "new costumers"... i hope jorgen will put a bigger effort to the energy xt project if he earns more money with it =)

and IMO in time with the new features we will get our bugfixes and "advanced user features" too.

all in all, its good to see this list.

Post

I think jorgen put in a lot of effort in sorting out his business, it's not like he's got a financial department to do it for him and a day is only 24 hours. You can't have a meeting with behringer and code new features at the same time.

I'm really looking forward to this update.

Uuum I musta missed something: what Behringer deal??

ok some nice additions, but...

I'm still disappointed that none of the core features/needs
like multi-processor support are adressed in the "coming next" :-(
