so I've been playing around with the demo of MFM2, and trying to just use one delay line, and I want to do the classic tape delay speed up/slow down pitch thing... And I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, or if MFM2 just doesn't work like that. When I move the ratio knob it sounds glitchy... Can someone explain to me how to do this or if it can be done?

Put it into "Sync Coarse" mode or one of the "Milli" modes then add "SoftClip" to the "Feedback FX12" slot. When you moduate the ratio now it should sound more tape/BBD like but not dead on. For those kind of effects I usually grab Timeless. I use MFM2 for... well, check out my presets, that is what I generally use MFM2 for.

ok, I get the glitchy zipper noise when tweaking with a mouse, but I got MFM to respond to my midi controller and it works great.

thanks for your help... and your presets certainly are something else! (I mean that in a good way).

I'm currently having a bit of a delay plugin demo shootout between MFM2, OhmBoyz, and Timeless... Ohmboyz with educational discount = $62 after currency conversion, MFM2 = $79, and timeless = $149... Timeless has more or less priced itself out of the game at this point so it's mostly down to ohmboyz vs MFM. I'll probably wind up will all three eventually

Yeah, an entry on my todo list for MFM2: Add "Inertia" knob for delay time changes to make it feel right and prevent glitches.

You know, the only thing more outstanding than the features of this plugin is that it's still under 100 bucks.
