Hello - I'm trying out the "mutoolsfree" on a Mac G5 2.0, using 10.3.9 OS.
I am able to get the basics of the program working, but am unable to hear what I'm playing from the keyboard into the track during recording. I can only hear it afterwards on playback.
Is there an initial sound or volume setting that I could have missed during setup?
Thanks anyone, for your suggestions.

Not Hearing sounds from keyboard... any suggestions?

You need to monitor the incoming audio.
This can be done via a right-click on the rack you want to use as monitoring rack, then choose "Monitor Audio Input".
Alternatively, you can also right-click the record button and select a Rack in the "Audio Input Monitor" field.
Hope this helps

muzycian - thanks for the suggestion of the "Audio Monitor Input On". Unfortunately, it did not work. I've tried going further into the tutorials and looked at the "Virtual Music Studio - Tutorial" - and tried downloading " mda-piano-OSX.sit" , but it would not show up in the MuLab VST Plug-in directory even when I had it clearly in one of my HD folders.
Still no sound from the keyboard to MuLab - not sure what else to do here.
- Should I uninstall & start over? If so, is there an uninstall link, or should I just delete MuLab?

Especially because you can record it, and so we can conclude that the audio IS streaming in.
So if you connect the audio input to a rack which is connected to the audio output, you should hear it. Else you have to check, step by step, where the signal is blocked, just like with real audio cables.
You have to do File menu -> VST Plugin Manager -> Add Plugins, and then navigate to your vst plugins (folders).and tried downloading " mda-piano-OSX.sit" , but it would not show up in the MuLab VST Plug-in directory even when I had it clearly in one of my HD folders.
This is only to be done once. It's like telling MU.LAB: "there are my plugins".
That shouldn't make a difference.Should I uninstall & start over?
Just delete the MU.LAB folder. If so, is there an uninstall link, or should I just delete MuLab?
