Setting up Effectri in Protools

Howdy, how do i connect effectrix up in protools, its not connecting to my instrument, how do i assign it to a specific instrument, sorry if its a stupid question but hey ya gotta learn

Hi, just use Effectrix as an insert effect on an audio or instrument track.
If you want to control the patterns via midi, just create a midi track and route it to Effectrix,

Grand done that thanks - its very cool.

But Is it possible to have it just act like a pattern sequencer, without using the midi note. (like the matrix in Reason). I just want to hit a button and have a pattern play over and over etc - how do i do this? the manual doesnt explain this/

If the 'Run on MIDI note' button is off, Effectrix will continuesly run to your sequencer clock. You can Bypass Effectrix with the 'Bypass' button.

Or do you want to start a pattern asynchron to your host clock ?
This is indeed only possible via MIDI Triggering.

No this is the problem - no sound comes out. I take my hand off the key and the sound dies, i basically want it to keep looping the sound


BTW, Just crashed in Pro tools- constant flickering, i removed the insert and then reapplied the insert and still the same flickering problem,had to restart pro tolls - no big deal though!
