There should be 242 sounds in the Science folder (as stated in the picture and accompanying text at u-he-com)

242*2 = 584. How did you manage to "duplicate", and how did you come up with 738 i.e. how did you count those files?
oops! I was checking the properties of the top folder, "0 Zebra Science"

when I check the properties of "All Science" folder I do get 242. But the category folders (bassics, leaders, fillers etc.) add up to 495 (+ 242 = 737). so there are presets in the category folders that are not in the "All Science"

I have no idea how I messed up the "0 Zebra Science" folder. I suddenly had each of the category folders duplicated. The second set had more presets, which I don't know where they came from. The preset's names all start with "HS" except the ones in the "9 Clowns" folder, those start with either "fatty" or "viral"

the only thing i've done with Z2 presets recently is add the latest oldskool presets.

:?

I have to admit, Z2 preset management has always confused me

Of course that would be 484 - duh!

Yes, it must have been the "All Science" folder which upped the number. This folder contains all the patches, but not categorized (for people like me who prefer longer lists over multiple folders). If I were you, politcat, I would just remove all Zebra Science folders/patches, and reinstall it.

Great stuff Howard! I wish you would do a bank like this for the Virus!
Ive been through a lot of Virus banks and this one is amongst the best of them, if not even better. ;-)

Would you say you could do more with Z2 then a Ti soundwize?

Zebra2 is more flexible than TI (comb filter, envelopes, modularity etc.), and I don't think I'll be going back to the TI soon (sold mine).
Still on holiday, back on Friday... :-))

Hi

A friend of mine who uses Mac bought zebra 2 and i was truly astonished, so i downloaded the demo version.

The problem i am facing is that my friend had some presets which i did not have in my demo zebra. All i remember was that there were some folders named from 1 to 9 i think, and folder 9 was named " clowns " and folder 7 was named "noises". I have not such things! And to be honest, it is the sounds in " noises " i fell in love with.

I have been searching for HOURS on the internet for these presets...no luck. Anyone knows where i can find / download / buy these sounds?

If it matters, I am using win Xp with FL 8.

Thank you in advance

Sounds like Zebra Science, psytrance.

Oops, later edit -

These are actually the factory presets for Zebra 2.2.

They have the same names as some of the Zebra Science
presets since they came from the same author.
Jim Hurley - experimental music
Windows 10 Pro (20H2 19042.662); i9-9900K@5.1GHz;
Cakewalk; Adam Audio A8X; Axiom 61

You must be having a Zebra version pre-2.2 installed. With Zebra 2.2 the old factory presets were swapped against Howard Scarr's first set, which became the official factory presets.

Just download the current version from zebrasynth.com and you'll be fine!

You're welcome, zvenx. I always thought lots of sounds arranged in a totally non-musical fashion might work better than the typical demos. At least for some people - it certainly would for me!

and for me too. glad you did that. Looking forward to the next bank.

Finally I got around to composing a piece using Howard's Zebra Science. All sounds are from Zebra Science. Reverb is the only effect used. I hope you enjoy!

Sorry for the duplicate post -- I also posted this under "Music made with Zebra", but I'm afraid it's kind of burried there.
