Hi guys,
I have a REV C with the worlds smallest hard drive in it! 40GB don't know what I was thinking.
Anyone out there formatted and installed a SATA drive in a REV C?
I really don't want to spend $300+ USD for a drive i could get for $100AUD here. (Australia that is).
I would greatly appreciate any help.

Don't install a SATA drive, the OS is not ready for this yet. I know it's on the to do list at Muse for later OS.

Any suggestions?Kermit Jagger wrote:Don't install a SATA drive, the OS is not ready for this yet. I know it's on the to do list at Muse for later OS.
I really just need a much bigger drive that I can format without having to order one off Muse.

Maybe try a SATA->IDE converter? http://ogg.kicks-ass.net/receptor/#sata_drives.thejone wrote:Any suggestions?Kermit Jagger wrote:Don't install a SATA drive, the OS is not ready for this yet. I know it's on the to do list at Muse for later OS.

Yes, a converter would fit but be careful what you buy, some are bigger than others and ideally you'd want one that would fit inside the Receptor.
In any case, IDE or SATA + converter, you don't need Muse to format a drive and copy the data from the existing one to the new one. Just follow Ogg's tutorial.

Gotta love OGG!
I am a little nervous though, is it realy as simple as making a back up on a bigger drive?
I guess there's only one way to find out!
Many thanks again.
