Great interviews - I did in fact enjoy them. I greatly respect both Urs and Howard so it's always interesting to have a little more insight into their thoughts on various things.
Shreddage 3 Stratus: Next generation Kontakt Player guitar, now available!

Impact Soundworks - Cinematic sounds, world instruments, electric guitars, synths, percussion, plugins + more!

Urs - "I've abandoned the idea that a product is ever "finished". My plugins demand constant attention and care. The future never stops." Between that and his modular ground-up way of design that allows for much easier expansion (as well as a great sounding synth in general), Urs may never really have to make another synth ha-ha, he can just keep upgrading Zebra til retirement eh. It's a great plan really, if one intends to weather all the computer O/S changes and whatnot, because as time goes on, and more features are added, more soundbanks are made, new people are attracted as a plug-in becomes more known and developed. How many copies of Rhino and Cameleon still sell 2-3 years later just because of the big user base, and the fact that they were solid synths to start with ? Urs could retire tomorrow, and probably still be selling Z2 in 2011-2012 easily as it is. And with bi-yearly or so updates that are almost full Version or paid type of updates (as with some companies etc.), I almost can't ever see the stream of potential new customers ending. Anyways, good interview. :)

Since learning of Urs and his work, I've perceived him as being sort of an artist. Now learning a bit more about Urs' background and how his design sensibilities were influenced by his father who is a sculptor, my intuition proves reliable. Urs is as creative as they come!

As for Howard, I'm just waiting on the edge of my seat to hear his work in The Dark Knight! Seriously, being a big fan of The Dark Knight comics, what else can I possibly say at this point in time?

Thanks for the heads-up on the interviews! :tu:

thanks for your appreciation :-)

I would like to add my appreciation for the interviews. I had also wondered why so much of my
favorite software was created by developers from Germany. :-) I enjoyed your site by the way
and was pleased to find that you had also interviewed other developers I am acquainted with
(Christian from ddmf and Ernest Cholakis from Noise Vault) and the other topics were interesting
as well. Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Scott
