Gut check... Lennard is posting (short) "Hi There's" on average 1-2 a month with no real information or progress reports. Wow! I just love the sound of Sylenth but I may have to accept that developement is stopped and move on. Things like the lack of a proper GUI patch/Load/Save system (only 128 patches available in KORE) and the stuttering in many hosts are just becoming irritating.

I'm also annoyed by the lack of any real information. But Lennard has said that he's still actively developing Sylenth1 so I have to take his word for it, even if the new version won't see the light of day until 2009. At this point he must have rewritten pretty much the entire synth. 
Let this be a lesson to other freeware and commercial plugin developers - don't take shortcuts by using SynthEdit "just to wrap the gui". Sure, it's more work to write it yourself in C++, but it's nowhere near the amount of work it apparently takes to first design a GUI in SE, then "port" it to C++.

...and when it fails, please do be honest about it. Politely apologize and return the money to customers who cannot use the product and get on with a new project that benefits from the lessons of the past.
This way you will not have to face never ending threads like this and your good reputation will be intact at the time of the new release.

I don't know what the differences are for coding synths for different operating systems but there are alot of synths out there for just a single OS so there must be something difficult about it.[/size]

Once it's available for Mac I will buy it (as soon as I got a Mac that is...).
Don't forget that Sylenth is rather inexpensive compared to many other softsynths, yet on the quality-side it's among the best.
Arturia plugs cost more and require a dongle that can cause trouble, which means the honest users who pay are punished with the technical difficulties.
I rather have a developer working on coding than answering every question in forums although customer relations are important especially if there are paying users who suffer from severe bugs.
Don't forget that Sylenth is rather inexpensive compared to many other softsynths, yet on the quality-side it's among the best.
