simple Audio Demo for ***HarpTime Max***, listen

This is the first Audio Demo recorded live straight from the output of NUSofting HarpTime Max beta.
The first short arpeggio is the plain deafult sound of HarpTime Pro 1.5, after that
you can hear some "random" arpeggios with different settings of the new Reverb (soundbox)
of HarpTime Max. Following are other examples using the new "Double" feature,
both with "Detune" and "Octave" used. Also some of the new Chorus setting are used.
The new EQ is featured as well as you can clearly hear thru the various dark and bright bits of this quickly made Audio Demo.

Nice! Prefer the first one but the second one actually sounds like a harp.

Any chance of hearing part of the second one with the chord rendered as a glissando? I think that's the correct term - don't tell anyone if it isn't <grin>

I guess my lack of musical theory is showing up. May as well further embarrass myself <grin>

Just listened again and yep they're definitely played glissando.

Whilst the second mp3 sounds like a harp, the chords sounds to me more like they're played on an acoustic guitar. I've only seen a harp played twice and both times it was a concert harp so my recollection my be rather fuzzy but the chords were oh I don't know "rung" or maybe played more as an arpeggio - I really don't know what the proper term is, I thought it was glissando but it may be some technique you can only play on a full size concert harp. I believe the first note of each chord was played forte with every other note getting softer but I'm probably totally and completely wrong.

I'll shut up now as I think the hole is deep enough already

ok, I see, that make sense, I guess you mean the wide arpeggios you can do on a harp, and it's also true that is more used on classical harps,

you are also right that the *short* glissando in my example is similar to guitar strums,

for the next demo I will try the wide arpeggios,

Did some more testing this afternoon and knocked this up during my 2 hour stint by way of something to test with - tones and velocity and how they affect HarpTime Max, so playing styles rather than musicality.

This is my usual simplistic crap but this time much worse. Bad timing, missed or wrong notes and its most likely out of tune as well. I think I may have used 10 notes this time Kind of like letting your toddler hit random keys.
