Sure, that's fine. Your opinions and positions aren't at issue, just the taking it to a personal level part.

Hahah, very nice. My only wish was that the emoticons progressed in the colors of the visual spectrum like a beautiful rainbow. Sylenth 2 would be the bowl of Lucky Charms at the end of it.

Now would be a good time for the "nice to hear from you part".

Who's at fault for the endless cycle? Developer or Customer?

It does however speak volumes about the sound of Sylenth 1 or it would have been forgotten long ago. So it's good people are still asking "what's up?". When they fall silent then we can nail the coffin shut.

Well, I don't know about your financial situation. Maybe you're only income is pocket money. But even then 139€ is affordable.

I had an email-conversation with Arturia's Frederic Brun some time ago where he told me that Arturia had sold 5 (!) copies of Minimoog V in the entire USA --- that is FIVE COPIES. Not 50 not 500, just 5. 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5.

I wonder how many people used cracked versions at that point of time.

Lotus if you seriously like the product then you can and should support and reward the developer.

By the way Blue Monk you're seriously starting to sound like a Sock Puppet.

Considering the fact that all three Arturia products I've tested demos for have crashed within 2 minutes from their installation, I'm not too surprised. Considering the fact that they sounded about as interesting as a concrete wall painted white, I'm even less surprised.

Considering my personal experience about stability of said company's products (not sure if I've ever even tried Minimoog V specifically), I would guess it must be less than the number of copies sold.

PS. In order not to be unfair to Arturia, I downloaded Minimoog V latest demo from their site (says 1.6) and tested it for full 30 seconds during which I encountered the following bugs:

- GUI doesn't draw properly.. offsets strangly, the preset bar only draws when moving window back from below other windows, clicking on GUI redraws without the offset (hiding the preset bar again). Lots of black space (and some white) on top of the Moog graphics, which means that while the graphics would fit on my 1280x800 screen, the window doesn't.

- Clicking on cutoff knob first stopped sounding note. Trying again caused a popup appear (describing it's value) and caused the audio engine to temporarily hang. Clicking third time actually allowed me to adjust cutoff. Fourth time it wouldn't work again (hang audio). Graphics jumping around while doing this test.

Enough for me to decide it's not really my type of synth.

PPS. WTF??? The uninstaller says it installed some f**king crap .dll in my Windows\System that it now finds is no longer in shared use? Since when does a f**king VST plugin need to mess with Windows\System??!??

Sure, but I have other things to buy and take care of...
Depending on the type of software it can go up or down on my list of priorities...
I just upgraded my version of Cubase and joined a DrumCore GB on esoundz which gave me two things I could really use but buying another synth is not really necessary for me..bit of a luxury really...(especially with Helix and Genesis floating around)..

I don't know how, or why, this thread has turned into a thread about warez and the crappiness of Arturia.

Yes, Minimoog V, compared to Minimonsta, sounds... not as good.

No, you shouldn't pirate it because of that.

Yes, you should try and be a bit patient and wait for a fix from LennarDigital or sell Sylenth 1 to someone who won't have a problem with it (I don't in Live 7) Odd thing is when I've asked what problem people are having no one responds. I don't even see a lot of bug reports in the LennarDigital forum.

Why the hell am I responding to this thread again!?

LennarDigital needs to make some sort of auto reply bot for this type of thread.

Not a single problem when I tested their Plugs.
I like the jupiter 8V but my CPU is too slow.

The problem I have with your post is that you make the plug-in resposible for any problem within your VST-host.
Could well be that your host has not proper implementation of the VST-standard.

But you're complaining about the plug-in having bugs.
That's exactly what is happening with Sylenth aswell.
Even magazines who take their job seriously noted that Sonar has VST-problems including dropouts and even crashes.
That happened with various plug-ins from various manufacturers.
Other DAWs had or have various other problems with VST aswell.
In most cases those work perfectly in Cubase. Think about that.

Apart from the VST-implementation not every DAW is equally robust when using a high percentage of your CPU-power.
Cubase is among those which are more robust regarding this respect.

Any program can install .exe files or dynamic link libraries (.dll). No big deal.

I assume from this comment that you are anxious of instabilities and crashes of your Windows-system.
Well, from my experience that is completely normal with Windows but it may show that your system generally doesn't work very well not only when it comes to making music.
In this case I would be a little bit less offensive when pointing fingers on which programs you think are buggy.

Didn't mean to annoy anybody. I just wanted to make the point that it is probably pretty tough making a living as a one man software developer even if you have a good product.
If a developer doesn't have enough sales then he has to pursue an alternative career maybe as a games developer for instance.

For me it's a strong argument to buy although I don't have much money.
I need a Mac-version though. My Windows-system is almost falling to pieces when trying to make music with it ;)
