Using PACE is too, by the way. Those cretins at PACE cannot even properly write a driver so the system won't need a restart after its installation.
We've tried our best to keep the installation process simple, the Standalone and the demo SoundBanks need to be installed in your system {Program Files} be it on C:, Z: or any drive letter where your have your primary system partition.

The installer should be able to detect this, if not we'll see what we can do.

Similarly we try to detect the standard VST folder if it is defined so you could have it on P: if you want.

Anyway, point taken we'll let you customize all these locations as well as the start-menu entry in the next version.

We have updated the version on the server.
No version number modification though for quicker delivery to you.
The installer date should be different though.

The VST PC version can now be launched
now i can open it in FL Studio 8 :D

Hi,
Not at all like I hadn't have one of this moments:
...And damn, I now it seems unrealistic, but I still hope for the promised (to me personally as well) 105 upgrade. PSP has a very good set of sounds, and there are some nice sound shaping tools and ideas (like multis or loops operations for instance), but it wont bake the cake, unless the USB devs fix the buggy issues.
By the way I hope there are still some left ( i mean the developers), cos if not then maybe USBs PR peps should think about releasing an open source code for freeware/shareware devs to make some use of this product, at least that would be some sort od way to say they're sorry and that they care.
If not then well c'est la vie for USB....

Can't wait for V 1.0!!!, then again from what I've read it seems more troublesome then PSPro, but I do keep my fingers crossed for the devs, good luck & thanks 4 UR transparency and commitment!!!

Well it's just a hunch, but I think most windows vst programs have the install path set up to c/program files/steinberg/vstplugins because steinberg invented the VST.

that, amongst other reasons such as tradtion and familiarity. And forgetfulness.

+1
You can't always get what you waaaant...

Okay, well, it's working as a plug-in now in EnergyXT, but I can't get Cubase 4 to see it for some bizarre reason. Anyway, I'mn sure that'll get sorted out.

The one question I have is regarding the patch layers. I don't see a way to access them (for example the 2 layer patches in Synths Anthology / Ultra Focus). Thankfully with the new GUI, it looks like features can be added without too much hassle.

Also, there is no obvious overload light for when you distort channels.

I just DLd the beta... Nice job on the interface! The PSP although very eye catching was too big, and way too much graphic crap that didn't do anything. Honestly I didn't even load it when I got my new Macbook... This one I will. It loaded the PSP sound bank without any problems... and some of the sounds that were glitching before are playing now? Hmmmm... CPU still seems to be unpredictable? I was running 2 instances, and Logic was giving me an audio overload error. Although an individual instance doesn't seem to be using too much cpu? Maybe the beta? I'm glad this is going forward... the sounds are still top-notch! :)

Just installed UVIWS on an HP Laptop (running AMD Turion64 TL-56, 2GB RAM). Sound device was a Roland Sonic Cell. Everything ran solid and quick (for the standalone which is all I care about right now). I am interested in this for live performance so I would like to add my wishes
Make the GUI resizeable- my 17" laptop makes this a little to small for live use. Can you also create a live view where it shows the patch names in a larger font as well as patch selection in large format (again, think of being on stage and having to quickly navigate this).
I find this very very interesting (and actually performs better than the free Kore player on my system). Not sure about the loops though- some of them seem to be playing in the background and only engage when I hit a key (which is a cool effect for somethings but a little bizzare at first- was this intentionall

Also, I didn't find a way of changing the octave of a part (so if I wanted to make a split with bass on the bottom, and a combination guitar/string part on top- the bass was too low).

Did make it crash (standalone). I loaded up a saved multi- then clicked on the main out, then on the keyswitch, and it crashed.

I just figured it out. Click on the A1 and you can create multiple layers in various keyranges (cool). Layer A1 all parts you want together- then go to A2 and layer other parts (and set different keyranges).

How ia that possible when it is dongle protected? can't you just do a transfer at ilok.com?
for 25 bones per, you can transfer........BUT you'll get no support.

I installed but it crashed FLStudio I guess because I denied access to internet for ilok. I already have Pace from something else. It was a hassle so I uninstalled everything. Is this worth reinstalling? I still have the old UVI Player.

Did you had a Convolution Reverb in the UVIWorkstation FX ?
