About the FX presets, could you make it possible to select the presets more easily when you've already inserted an effect?
Like this, I selected the Multiband compressor for the master output, but then wanted a different preset for it. I had to go to the FX menu, look for the multiband compressor in the list, then scroll down to select a different.
That should be easier. I'd love to be able to quickly skip through the presets to be able to decide quickly, which suits my purpose best.
Thanks for your interest in this thread!

Right click on the FX name of the rack, the browser will open and you will be able to modify this FX rack content. Preview is automatic.

Let me know if I didn't understand your question correctly.

only UFS bundled with MachFive 2.
Not separate MachFive presets.
Ok, it works. I just had to alias the ups file to /Library/Application Support/UVISoundBanks/ folder.

The installer doesn't give me the option of selecting where to install.. it automatically tries to install on C: this is a HUGE no-no for me as I have only windows files on C: and a separate partition for VST plugins. Please include the option to install elsewhere than C:

Well, the thing is, I know that right-click opens the menu, but it opens it for all the possible FX setting.
But if there is a limiter already in the FX rack, and I don't want to change that but see if another limiter preset is better suited to my needs, I first have to look for the right category, click on it, the select the limiter, then I see the presets for that. And if there are 30 presets for a certain effect, and I've already tested the first 20, then the process becomes very tedious and time-consuming to check out the last ten presets. Do you know what I mean?

Maybe you could define an area that opens the whole fx menu, and another that only opens the presets for that particular effect. Maybe a left-half/right-half split in that FX name area? It's very wide and would offer that possibility.

The recent entry for this in the KVR plugin database says, 'copy protection: none'.

needs ammending so as not to get anyone's hopes up ;)

It has been mentionned previously and it will be possible in the next release.

make sense, this is what we already do when you double-click on a part, we'll do it for FXs too,

BTW notice that while the Fx Browser is open you can change the presets on the fly to preview them.

Ah yes, that's quite nice, hadn't noticed that.
Now, more wishes :)

1. Will saving presets be possible? I mean, loading a preset, changing parameters, then saving it under a different name?
Since we're dealing with samples here, it would be awesome if every preset could have a subfolder for the different settings (fx and envelopes and so on), so that you could save your own variation of a preset and still find it "under" the original, much like IKM's Sampletank does. I love that system.

Or do my own creations have to be saved as a Multi file?

2. As someone else already mentioned, some presets might contain more than one layer, like those of the Synth Anthology. Now I really like the original Ultra Focus plugin, which I own and use, with all its editing capabilities, and I'd love to see that kind of editability again in the UVI workstation, since it was totally lost in PSP. The Synth Anthology expansion, which I bought, is just no match for the old Ultra Focus. Maybe not right away, but will that come in the future?

Thanks for being open to suggestions!

Speaking of regaining confidence with actions, I think that providing updates for UVI-engine based plugins, like Ethno, would be a very good start....

A lot of MOTU instruments users have been complaing about issues, more on PC admitedly (which indeed seems to be a very weak spot for your software) but even more to a far extent, about the obvious lack of support for it.
So, can you tell users of existing plugins that all the known problems (like, for xeample, Vista support, or video-card related bugs) will be adressed ?
I posted yesterday about that, and my question (which, I admit, was a bit -but not totally- OT)has not been responded, which for me is not a very good sign if you really wish to promote a really new kind of user support policy

I do share the opinion of a previous poster that just a "hello, we're back, sorry for the silence but that's how life is sometimes" might turn out to be a litle short in order to trigger a blind enthusiasm about your upcoming releases....

My 2 cents.
But in every other way I wish you success with that. 8)

Quoting "AlainJ UVI" answering in a previous post:

Updating the MOTU instruments is something that will obviously happen but we can't give any schedule for the moment.

Thanks for your support.

However I think you can grab an explicit PACE extension uninstaller from PACE.
If you or someone can provide a link to this,it would be appreciated and probably sway some people to try this product.
