Conditions are that you are willing to stick with me while we run the same test potentially several times in a row with different versions, until we get it right. I'm in the Eastern timezone and I'm going to be at this all night.

You should be a Receptor "power user", comfortable with editing the registry, transferring files to it, "flushing the plugin cache", etc.

Let me know. I'm hoping to launch 1.12 any time now, and it's intended to be Receptor compatible. It's working for one of my testers, but not for the other. So I need a third to break the tie.
Congrats to mwgilbert who wins a free Poly-Ana license in exchange for a couple nights of very attentive testing.

And huge thanks to KVR's own LooneyTunes for helping me through Receptor testing over these last three months. It's been a REALLY long haul. It's VERY difficult to develop for a platform you don't have sitting on your own desk, but LooneyTunes stuck with me and tested literally dozens of different versions for me (we were at RC23 when we finished. And I started those numbers AFTER I thought we were done! :) ). Couldn't have done it without you man, we all owe you a big one! :tu:

So, Poly-Ana should now work on Receptor. It seems possibly some earlier software revs (Rev B?) might have problems, in which case it'll reboot your machine -- if so, I guess you need a software upgrade. (Receptor experts feel free to jump in here with any advice you may have.) But it is working with newer Rev C Receptors for sure, I've had 3 different Receptor users verify that so far.

This is just the beginning on Receptor, and I do expect there'll be some issues. So PM or email me at aq (at) admiralquality.com and let me know how it goes for you, good or bad. Also let me know what version/Rev of Receptor you're running.

And as always, very interested in hearing what you think of the synth... but I'm making another thread for the "official" announcement... join us there for general, non-Receptor related comments. ( http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3132 072#3132072 )

Fingers crossed... hope this works for you...

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick plug for Poly-Ana. This is a nice VA, and quite a unique sound from other VAs (different than Arturia, GForce, NI, or any others from the 'big guns'). Poly-Ana has distinct audio paths in stereo - kinda like having 2 layers on all the time for each patch. Also, it has some very nice non-linear processing - quite a convincing analog experience. I was reminded of some of the patches from Tony Banks and late 70s / early 80s era Genesis. The modulation sources are similar to a modular - something like Arturia's Arp2600V.

Give it a try - it has quite a nice analog sheen!

Regards,
Kevin L

And we're at version 1.13 now. Less than a week, 1.12 was rather short lived but I introduced a bug that affected sound so wanted to get this update out ASAP.

Haven't heard from any of you Receptor owners yet. Are you out there? Is Poly-Ana working for you? Let me know please, I'm very curious.

installed it, checked it out, kinda cool, but un-installed it after that ridiculous rant. No interest in supporting this guy. The instrument .. well, if I didn't have Pro-53, mini moog VA, mini monsta, opx, and a bunch of others, it might be ok, but nothing to write home about. This dudes attitude is a deal killer tho ...

Count me in for being among those who would have purchased Ploy-Ana had it not been for that whackjob ranting and cursing thread. There is a consequence to being unprofessional.

Does calling someone a lunatic make you feel big or clever or something? There's no need for it. Ask people who own Poly-Ana about their experience with Mike. His customer service is second to none. The guy even built me a one-off none SSE version of Poly-Ana, and kept it updated, just for me, until I upgraded my PC (six months later). You may not agree with his views, or his attitude, but that doesn't make him a lunatic.

He wants him to have a chance to respond (he's banned for a week). I looked over that thread and it is indeed troubling. Muse is well established and works with software companies. They are not a shadowy operation. To think that they would want to post subliminal suggestions in their FAQ page encouraging people to crack software isn't rational, IMO.

No one can deny his efforts to make Poly-Ana a quality product and to work through bugs and platform issues, but AQ's actions in the Muse thread were fairly extreme, IMO.

@ thecontrolcentre: Fantastic. Good for you.
My opinion comes only from his deranged behaviour on several occasions here in public, and his insane gui.

If it makes you feel better, I'll take this opportunity to apologize. Sorry I called your favourite dev a lunatic.

I'll never know about that other side of him, cause I'm never buying his thing.

This quote from Admiral Quality:

"It's tantamount to advertising cracks. Which again, is exactly what KVR DOES!

That's EXACTLY why they run this site. So the zero day warez people can find out on zero day."

Is totally at odds with what I've seen here. The mere suggestion of a question relating to cracked software brings an avalanche of negative reactions, both from forum members and moderators. I can't understand where he got this impression.
