Just happened to read that topic, and sorry but I was somewhat very surprised and unfortunately shocked by the above quoted.

Don't want to interfere with any private business of your own, but does the P in PM stand for Private ?

If so, and if people send you some private messages, my opinion is that it should stay private and that making it public is just unfair.

You mention in your post beeing a man of principles, so .....

@dmacintyre: I have been requested to ask you not to call Theo a "thief" any more, and I agree that you shouldn't have done so. Since there is no longer a risk of a chargeback, Theo having found a buyer to pass the software on to, it would be magnanimous if you would retract the original accusation (or however you'd like to characterize the wording; I don't recall exactly how it was couched). If the name-calling on both sides were retracted it might go a long way toward getting ruffled fur smoothed back down. (Not mine, it's neatly brushed.)

i think you fueled the fire by taking sides. not sure how a moderator can ignore what was a clear violation of a verbal agreement at the marketplace. i guess sharing pm's is a bigger offense than ripping off a buyer.

dmacintyre clearly used his refund guarantee as a selling point. then he refused to honor it. that's not good business and should not be tolerated here.

Could be, though I thought and think I was being neutral. I don't particularly like or dislike either of the parties to the dispute, they're both "KVR people" and by default fit into the "okay by me" category. Anyway, I've explained my reasoning in the now-locked thread, don't care to again. It's all been rehashed repeatedly so let's get on with other feedback. *leaves thread*

i was lucky enough to get the ableton suite from _pascal_ last week. could not be happier in terms of communication, price and speed of the transaction. Ableton transferred the license the same day, small unlocking issues were solved almost immediately.

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to what he would have been had he charged back and kept the software as he stated he was going to do. Between being informed of this and his rant above he hadn't told me that he had managed to sell the software - the first I knew was when I read his "feedback" post above. To reiterate : of course, I do not think he is a thief now he has sold it and is not intending to charge back - however, he didn't make this known until today.

Now to get on with something more productive..............

I bought Albino3 from Exhile. He was very patient despite a small delay on my part and very quick to get the license transfer going.
I would gladly buy from him again.
