We've just fixed an issue where it crashes everytime you had a part with a streched loop which was playing and it was emptied, replaced or the loop mode was changed to sample or sliced.

This one is very very strange.
I didn't heard of issues regarding crash by only playing.

Was those mono mode sounds ?
or polyphonic ones ?

Let us know if you find some reproductible pattern.
I don't like at all those kind of bugs.

Thats what I did again:

1. Uninstalled FL Studio 8
2. Uninstalled UVI Workstation
3. Delete the DLL File
4. Installed latest FL Studio 8
5. Installed the RegKey
6. Installed UVI Workstation 1.0.1
7. Loaded the VST into FL Studio 8
8. Crash!

Dont know what it is :(

Feature request :
- a search function within the UVI browser, to find some sounds by name

For example, I'll be glad to doa search for the "Analog Strings" in the tutorial set, to see if this sound is in my Plugsound Pro UFS soundbank.

Is it in it, or is it just a new sound sampled for the UFS tutorial file ?

that problem with fruity really makes me sick :(

@otristan, it's still crashing when i load it!

this one is a particular case we prefered having it running all the time so that you dont't get a false idea of the number of voices you can really run.

It won't be necessary to wait for the URL time out in the next version.

It isn't so particular, since you will rarely have all part playing at once while everything load up will still use processing power all the time. Polyphony is already something unpredictable that raise CPU usage considerably, so I don't see how useful knowing how much FX processing is taking by UVIW while nothing is getting feed to it.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not just trying to bug you with all these CPU usage issues, really what I'm seeing now is a hope to start using finally these nice sound libraries in my project. Originally, I had to finally get Kontakt because PSP and MOTU SI were unreliable and were using way too much CPU and I think Kontakt should be taken as a goal to meet or exceed with your audio engine performance. In Kontakt you will rarely run out of CPU before running out of ram and I think it should be the same for UVIW since you are playing in the same league.

The main two issues I see now in this area are:

1- FX taken CPU while no midi is feed to them
2- Mute track still being process

Merci.

I've been playing and debugging it the whole day in FL8, I've made some improvements, but didn't managed to make it crash.

I've made the change to so that the convolution reverb is switched of after tailsize when there's nothing playing.

I think we'll put both midi and audio mute on the interface, to give you the choice.

Hello to the dev team,
I'd find it incredibly useful if you could drag'n'drop in the FX section, to change the order of FX in the row.
Yes, please!

There is still quite some crackling going on when I change certain parameters while playing. Do you need to know where and how?

We though to this.. we just need to find some time to do it.
Current main focus is bug fixing, so a bit later.

Wonderful, could it be done with any CPU hungry FX, like the regular Reverb used on most patches?

That will be really cool.

Merci.

Not sure if this is a bug or not.
But I cant hear speed changes in LFO when holding a note down, I have to repress the note to hear the changes.
Simple and repetive are my middle names

It's a bug.
We'll take a look, but I already fix something related yesterday, so it should already be fine.

Thanks for the report.
