Indeed it is pretty tough, I know first hand as I am doing that as well. However, that does not necessarily mean that one should abandon his existing/would be customers. So my 2 cents for Lennard: Respond back to your customers man!blue monk wrote:I just wanted to make the point that it is probably pretty tough making a living as a one man software developer even if you have a good product.

These are hard times. Everybody is struggling. I'm sure 90% of KVR members have a "real" job, something that takes them away from music production.
There have been 2 support questions since yesterday, nothing at all to do with "when's the update". Still no response from Lennard.
Not looking good for Lennar Digital, not looking good at all.

Not looking good for Lennar Digital, not looking good at all.I had a response to my initial email within 48 hours.
This is his f**king forum and he can't pop in at least once a week and say what's up?
I agree with Teksonik - looks very bad on him.

We've got contact, Lennard is alive and well, working hard.ttoz wrote:if anyone is interested i sold my sylenth a week ago and the buyer has emailed and I have emailed lennard and he has NOT replied at all, so there's another one to show he really is not interested in support at this time.

License transfer from Theo to me is done now, just received the data and spoke briefly to Lennard via email yesterday.

Okey good to read.
Let me just say this :
Porting from PC to Mac, is a huge work, especially if it's the first time you have things like that to code...
So let him work hard this summer, by this time, you all go on holidays, and see what he comes up with after that.
I understand him, and the fact that he's not responding these days, and I respect this way.
Because, I would be stressed to read every 5 minutes : "so what's up bro ?" "did you got the port done ?" "is it okay now" "when my Mac AU will be ready ?!".

If you have to concentrate then posting in forums (despite you have nothing to say that you already said: "I'm currently working on it") gets you off focus and the job takes longer to complete.
From my experience people who don't have the discipline to concentrate on their work don't get their projects finished at all.

Communicating here once every two-three months is not every five minutes...K-Slash wrote:Okey good to read.

While it is understandable that Lennard does not communicate "every 5 minutes", part of being in business (or working for someone else) is managing your customers/bosses expectations. In many companies that is more important than what you actually do.
Evidently, Lennard is not currently living up to customer expectations in this forum, hopefully this won't impact his bottom line later.
