Wow i'm making great progress with Z2, didn't think it would be this easy to learn. 15 usable presets and counting, i even managed to nail some Mort Garson Moog sounds dead-on (patchbank coming soon)

Here's a question that's been nagging me for a while tough, and i can't seem to find anything in the manual. Can i set the mseg/LFO/arps to not sync to host speed? I'm making some custom ADSR envelopes for the MSEGS (saves me knob twiddling time when i can just save an MSEG curve, and i love the visual feedback). Problem is, when i use an MSEG as an ADSR enveloppe, the speeds are dependant of the host speed, something you don't want for attack/decay...speeds.

Thanks in advance for any answers. If i could have found this answer easily myself, please tell me where i should have looked, so i don't have to bother this forum everytime i need to know something.

Also, thanks to Howard Scarr for the excellent Virus manual, i've learned heaps about programming synths using his manual. A lot of it can be applied to any synth. IMO it's a must read for any synth programmer!

Yo,

The latest beta (see thread in this forum) has LFOs that can be unsynced - the pop-up for sync also contains 0.1, 1.0 and 10.0 seconds as timebase. The MSEGs can be unsynced by using "Seconds" as timebase - which should be in V2.1 and up.

Ugh, i actually saw this in the manual, but it didn't penetrate my skull that choosing seconds = unsynced. *edit* it's not in the manual...but i'm sure i saw it somewhere...

Again, thanks for the amazingly fast response. I'm starting to picture you as a guy with a wi-fi enabled palmtop taped to your forehead, constantly eyeing these forums :hihi:
