Zrev crashes LP8 everytime

Hi. I just attempted to load the zrev many times in Logic Pro 8.02..It crashes every time..Is there an update I missed..Running Zebra 2.2 OS 10.4..It passes AU validation but crashes Logic immediately if attempted to be used.. Anyone know what to do.?? JON

Please download the latest beta. Alternatively create following directory by hand:

MacHD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/ZRev/

(it crashes because it doesn't find the folder when opening the gui - which is fixed in the betas)

Hi Thanks for getting back..But were is the beta version located.? I didn't find it on your site..Also please make the rtas version soon, please..I am well over Logic at this point..Please, please, please.. I stole that from JB... JON

Also I already have that path but it seems to mean nothing..I also see no AU in components but it passes AU validation in Logic..

Thanks Urs..I have a difficult time with this forum at times..I can't find anyway to know the date in regards to when the version, or rather at what point the versions are at and when they were either re-posted or updated from the original post.. Thanks again.. JON

in the beta's the compiled date forms part of the file's name AFAIK

so Z2Mac_270508.zip is from the 27'th of May 2008

witch is handy as staying up to date with betas can be a PITA

good luck with the RTAS beta, it might be worth book marking this forum http://u-he.net/audev/viewforum.php?f=9 is its where the RTAS update info will come to first

Hi.. Thanks to both of you.. I am rather computer illiterate so anything I learn is a plus.. Appreciate it..Thanks again to both of you..I am already working with the RTAS version..So far so good..Seems a bit more CPU hungry than I had hoped for is my first reaction..But that is the nature of the Zebra anyway.. Ask anyone from the plains..Also a wee bit different when switching patches than when using Logic..But no worries..I'm just happy to be able to use it in P-Tools..

so i should be using Zebra 2 BETA in logic 8? I haven't installed zebra yet as it's in a list of thousands of things to install (logic itself took like 5 friggin hours!)

you should just be using the beta, period!
there are some fantastic new modules and effects in there, plus the eleven function on the oscillators for wide fatness. the new patch system is much improved, and overall I've never had any stability issues with it.

Hi ,

I've got a good knowledge of synthesis but only just started using softsynths and logic etc . Been having fun with Zebra 2 which I bought a couple of weeks ago . I just downloaded the new beta version and I have two files there , Zebra.component and zebra.vst . Can anyone tell me , should I put these in a folder in logic or zebra etc ? Not sure as have never updated an Au synth before . Cheers for any help .
